Any update on release date in US

Last RUMOR that I had heard was October 18th release by Cingular. Anyone have any better update on release date?

At Cingular Soon?

I just stopped by the Cingular store in San Francsico (downtown). Sep 4. They had a faxed info sheet about the 6500 behind the desk and told me that they thought the phone was due in the store last week. It seems like the release is finally imminent. Any other word on this?

"COMING SOON" Cingular web page gone

Just checked the "Coming Soon" web page from Cingular and it is gone for the 6515. I went to their buinsess page and found no listing for the 6515 or 6500.

Is Cingualr still going to give be the provider?

Windows Mobile 5.0

I understand that devices with WM 5.0 will be released 10-1, about 5 weeks away. Can't imagine HP would launch this without it. Any one have information about this subject?

When is this crap coming out

Been waiting for this crap for almost 2 months and Cingular still will not committee to a release date on this damn unit.

I don't want to get the stupid Treo, waiting for this crappy unit, need Pocket PC.

I just used one

I'm a cingular store rep and I just had an HP employee come in asking about email service for his new iPAQ. Just as my heart hopped, he whipped it out and let me check it out. Aside from him knowing more about the phone than I did, it was pretty cool. The phone looks and performs phenomenally. Its really fast and the windows mobile system works pretty well. The screen res could have been better but all around way cooler than the treo 650.

REVIEW: from the UK, experienced user

http://www.clieuk.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?threadi ... »

this chap has been offering hardware and software reviews for years. PalmOS and PPC as well as many others. he has used and reviewed most mainstream handsets and handhelds, and several obscure units to boot!

the hw6515 is his first WindowsMobile5 review, and the early verdict is quite promising.

GPS / Location Software Included

Just wanted to point out that both phonescoop and this other article I ran across mention this phone comes with a gps, and you can get location software through the makers of Tom Tom (a $600 gps navigator unit...thingy).

My coworker's PDA just broke, and she really, really wants this phone.

Any idea when it will really be available?

She was trying to hold out for this, but now she's in a real bind.
