Phone shutting off & Restarting...
I am interested in buying this phone, and I have read many reviews that people have experienced this issue where the phone mysteriously shuts off and/or will turn itself back on, etc. Can anyone elaborate more on this problem and if this has been rectified with a software upgrade, or was this a bad batch of phones. - Any insight would be very helpful..

On the Blackberry Curve 8330 for Verizon, does anyone know off hand what type of charging port it is?? - Is it Micro usb, or otherwise? - Does anyone know if it's the same as on an LG- Env2? - I currently have this phone but want the Blackberry Curve & wondered if the cigarette lighter charger would be the same or work for the BB??

Blackberry Curve 8330 - For Verizon
Does anyone have any ideas as to where I can buy a new Blackberry curve for verizon? - I am not eligable for an early upgrade or new in 2 yet.
I have checked ebay, but prices are basically the same as going into Verizon and paying full price.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
PS: Phone must be brand new & not used or refurbished, etc..

LG Dare Question.. (HELP)
Recently I posted that I was having an issue where the screen would go completely white (Illuminated) and the phone would lock. - After someone's suggestion of getting a software upgrade, the phone still continued to act up the same way. - When I went back to verizon, they actually gave me a brand new in box phone. (Not one of these reconditioned jobs that you keep your battery and accsesories
etc. Even with the new phone the problem managed ...

Thank you for your suggestion regarding a firmware update/upgrade. - I took the phone to Verizon earlier this evening and they updated the software. - So far so good!!
Hopefully that's the fix it needed. - I would hate to have an give up this phone.
Is Version # 5 the latest edition? - I have read about a version 7 & 8 : Just wasn't sure if that was accurate or not???

The phone has started to do this weird thing.. If the phone is just sitting idle on a table etc. I come back to it to find the screen is illuminated white (Blank) & a little red lock icon is up at the top of the screen. The only way to clear the screen & see your desktop is to hit 1 of the physical buttons on the phone.
My concern, is that this just started happening, and it doesn't ...
ENV2: Once you have recorded the phone call...
So once you have successfully recorded the phone call, how is it you actually retrieve it so you can listen to it??

Not sure why or what that feature is really even suppose to do.

Your explanation sounds like it's possibly this but still not really sure.
It just sounds as though the audio level of the person you are talking to drops off or something.
With the " sidetone" I dont hear an echo of my voice or anything. - What I am experienceing is a drop in sound level. - It's like what you would hear if you were on a landline and muted off or in error etc.
Any thoughts??

I am now on my second env2. I will start by saying I really like this phone for most all of its capabilities. BUT, the vibration completely sucks. - You might as well not even have it as an option.
Now for the reason, I have had to replace the phone. When on a call does the phone seem as if you just muted the person you are speaking with? One minute you will be talking and the next it ...

YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND MY VIBRATION QUESTION?? - IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS PHONE, YOU CAN HARDLY FEEL THE VIBRATION MODE. - EVEN IN A QUIET ROOM YOU COULDN'T HEAR THE PHONE RINGING WHEN ON VIBRATE.

Ok, I understand the concept of wanting to hear your phone & using the ringer. HOWEVER, if you know anything about this phone the vibration might as well not even be an option on the phone. - It is so weak, that you have no idea your phone is even ringing. You can be in a completely silent room, and unless the phone is right near you, you're not going to hear it.

Ok, so I asked if the cutting out noise was just me or it was the phone. - Now that we are pretty certain that its the phone, do you think its with everyone of them or its specific to my handset??
Also, does anyone know if the non exisistant vibration will be able to be fixed with a software upgrade??

Is it me, or does your handset seem to cut in & out while on a call? Doesn't happen all the time, but it's noticible enough.
Also, is there a way to make the vibration feature stronger? - Do you think this is something that will be addressed by a software upgrade?
Otherwise phone is great so far!!

If you have this phone & you want to use the wifi capabilities. Does that mean you can go into a wifi hotspot, Ex: Airport, starbucks, etc. & pick up the internet, and the bigger question would be, does that mean you can connect without having to get a data package or internet package through verizon???

Player Error...
Occassionally I will pull my phone from my pocket to find it have a red screen that says player error. Does anyone know what this is about? - When I see it I usually hit end or clear and it seems as though it disconnects an internet connection and the screen say goodbye.
