Samsung I-760 - Wi/Fi Question...

If you have this phone & you want to use the wifi capabilities. Does that mean you can go into a wifi hotspot, Ex: Airport, starbucks, etc. & pick up the internet, and the bigger question would be, does that mean you can connect without having to get a data package or internet package through verizon???

Anyone that can elaborate, I would really appreciate it...

Your right you can go into anywhere that has available WiFi and connect to the internet and email options on the phone.
With WiFi you can have the same access as a data package on this device without the extra monthly cost. So you can pay for just voice services instead.
