If I am not mistaken, you can select pay per KB option instead of the data plan. If you use the web or email and you are not connected to WiFi then you will get charges. Though you might need to try using their web chat or call customer care, or one of the kind reps that visit these forums can answer that for us. I only have enV2 my friend so my data charges for MobileWeb is $1.99 ...

Considering that people surveyed were all picked at random and all in equal number per available carriers in each state, this is a quite decent result. Before you start yapping at me that I am Verizon fanboy just because of my name I will let you know that I am a customer on 3 different networks(AT&T, Verizon, started T-Mob last week).

If you really do not need a data plan you can always go with the smartphone that are WiFi capable, XV6800 and Samsung i760 are ones on Verizon that have this feature I believe.

From my understanding when I have talked to rep about that month ago, all BB devices must have the data plan on Verizon, it is apparently due to the contractual agreement they have with Research In Motion(BB manufacturer). From what I have also heard is that RIM is looking to enforce this on every carrier selling BB devices, my sources might be wrong.

Considering that I have a phone on at&t(Sony Ericsson w580i) and VZW(LG enV2) I was lucky to see through the hype that iPhone was before it was even released. Just from looking at specs of the phone made me not ever want it. Sure I do like iPod, but that is about it, and I will most likely going to be joining with every other apple product owner in hell, according to RedVsBlue.

If you were able to use the web on the Dare with the America's Choice plan, you were most likely going to call customer care to inquire why do you have over $500 in overage fees since it would drain your minutes faster than you think.

Half of the problems for call centers is because of the screw up done at the stores because they litterary push the product at customer without looking at the later consequences. Namely putting a Nationwide calling plan phone on a America's Choice.

Not to mention, Sprint will drop you in a heartbeat if you are complaining and threatning their CC reps that you will cancel service if you do not get better deal(Happened to a friend of mine at school). AT&T is way too lazy in CC department(I am on family share plan with them). T-mobile I got no dirt on yet.

I honest oppinion I think the quality of phone should also depend on intelligence of its user. I personaly own LG enV2 and have messaging only plan. I love this phone and its very sturdy. My friend who works for verizon owns one as well, she just can't believe most of the times that ...
