vz nav on blackberry question...
isn't there suppose to be an up date to vz nav 4.0 for blackberry due out today. when i check for up dates it says it is up date. did they delay the release or is there a special site to download it. thanks in advance

The release was pushed out until tomorrow the 11th... *228 will not update the VZ Nav. I believe you will need to uninstall and reinstall the app in order for it to work.

*228 does nothing, other that update you PRL (Preferred Roaming List). This will not update the phones software nor anything else for that matter, other than the PRL. You will have to go to options, advanced options, applications and uninstall. Then go to the VZStart page which is you Blackberry's home page if you haven't already changed it. If you have changed it you can either get link from history or reset homepage for a little while. I am almost certain that launching VZ Nav and searching for an update will not work, but worth the try anyways. When you go to VZstart page click on VZ Nav and you should see VZ Nav 4.xx. If you see 2.8 then 4.xx isn't out yet.
P.s. Check for new version before you install, just to save you time.

If I were to get a new BB from VZW today, would it have all of the latest software or would I have to up date myself?

i will have all the updated software but if your putting navigation on the phone u will first have to download 2.9 version due to the fact that vz nav 4.0 is not out yet for blackberry's but it is expect sometime soon.
