SPOKE WITH LG REP!

Well, we all know how inconsistent our guesses have been on the release date of this phone. However, I thought I'd do some homework of my own to see if I could get anywhere with it.

I called and spoke directly with an LG rep. She confidently and calmly told me to look for it around the end of this month (June).

I sure hope she's right!

Response to threads below

Look for a late June release.

I don't care WHO'S friend's sister's cousin's boyfriend's uncle whos best friend's grandmother works for Verizon. Or what they say for that matter. Late June.

The only correct thread on here is the one who said they called LG and they told him that it wasn't going to be until late June. That's right.

End of June. End of subject. Who cares how I know.

Just Curious

Maybe there has already been a discussion of this subject, but for the people waiting for the LG VX-8100, Why do you think it is a better phone than the upcoming Motorola E815?

I will buy one or the other, but would like to know why some of you are waiting for the LG and not the Motorola. Thanks

Speakers

Anyone know where the speakers are on the 8100? Don't show on pics. I assume they are on back.

VX8100 / random shutdown problem?

I hope the 8100 will not be cursed with the random power off problem like the VX8000 does. Do they share any software that may lead us to believe the problem might carry over to the 8100? Doea any of LG's other phones have this problem? I read on Howardforums about the 6100 doing it too. Anyone know?

An Explanation for Natas...

I am not trying to insult you and let me explain my position. In one of your responses below you state that you fought in two wars (which I commend you for). Were you giving an opinion when you said that? No, you were making a statement that is most likely true.

In your original post, you made another statement (not opinion) that the lg8100 is the same as the lg 6100. You never explained why you believe they are the same. In the process you tell everyone to get a clue, which is basically insulting everyone who does not agree with you. When vzw22 replies to your thread and gives you 9 valid reasons why the phones are not the same, you give him a bunch of bogus responses like "it's a joke", "big deal", "All leave that one alone", "c...

I like Natas

It’s pretty obvious to me from the different styles of Natas post that he’s far from stupid. I think Natas enjoys messing around. He makes some solid points.

Stop crying about bluetooth!!!!!!!!

OK, I'm going to try and out it plain and simple: about the Bluetooth....Please, read up on it before you start bashing VZW about "they cripple it". You have to understand that VZW has no choice to cripple it, or else they are in legal trouble. VZW must purchase the right to use bluetooth, and they chose to only purchase the right to use it's headset funtions in an effort to save money. Fact of the matter is...VZW didn't see the need for the other functions. Let's say they purchased the full access rights for (don't know a figure, just a guess) $10 Million. Now let's say that they onty make $5 million in bluetooth capable phones...they're out $5 million bucks! With all of the customers asking for the full bluetooth capability though lately, ...

Got a demo phone

Ok, this phone is nice. The Kenwood VZW store (Cincinnati, OH) has issued demos to certain customers. remember, Cincinnati is a major test site for Verizon Wireless....

The phone is fantastic but the wow factor is typical as usual....oh so neat but yawn at the same time.

This has to be on of the best color screens that LG has EVER produced except for their 535 (sprint).

I am going to take pictures of the phone...with me holding it...and the box...just so you all don't start bickering over it.

I have it, it's great....give me an hour or so and I will get these pics up using www.tinyurl.com or simply imageshack.us.

You will be surprised at how much smaller it is than the 8000.

For you guys with demo phones-- questions on bluetooth useage and sound

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to find out if you've had chance to use the Bluetooth feature with a headset yet and I had a couple of questions.

1) How is the sound through the headset (are there any snap, crackle or pops and can you hear the other person clearly and can they hear you clearly?

2) How does it work exactly after you hit the call button on the headset (such as does it ask for "Name please" or "digits" like it does on the LG-VX 4500 in driving mode)?

3) If you get a call, does it announce through the headset who is calling and whether or not to send the call through or does it announce it through the phone speakers?

Thanks for your responses as I'm looking forward to this phone being released because of the wireless headse...

Is this phone bulky?

I noticed a few of you said you had demo phones and I was wondering. From the pictures it looks pretty bulky.

DUN through Bluetooth

I am wondering if Verizon has disabled Dial up networking through bluetooth on this phone.

I currently own a V710, which will go to my wife as soon as this phone comes out. I might change my mind if the vx8100 has this feature disabled.

Phone Release!!!!Must Read!!

I am real tired of everyone BullS*%Ting. Calling the customer sevice/talking to a supervisor, Talking inside a store or talking to a indirect and will not help. All you are doing is taking verizon away when they could be helping another customer that needs true help. I mean what the big freaking deal with making up dates. According to this site and its forum the phone should be out in 3 days. We all know that ain't gonna happen. Further more every one who says verizon told them; is full of crap. What they need to do is figure out where their Head is where they feet are. That seems more difficult than anything. Just let the phone come out and them get it. Whats making a mob and getting arrested gonna help. You'll just piss of that st...
