VX8100 / random shutdown problem?
I hope the 8100 will not be cursed with the random power off problem like the VX8000 does. Do they share any software that may lead us to believe the problem might carry over to the 8100? Doea any of LG's other phones have this problem? I read on Howardforums about the 6100 doing it too. Anyone know?

I've had the 6100 for about a year,it's never happend on my phone. Hopefully they don't share the same chipset, I doubt they would. Anyone else with some solid info on chipsets?

All the vx31, 32, 60, and 6000's that I've sold have been great phones, with the exception of a few bat vx3100's. I haven't seen any power-off issues in this market. I don't think many retail locations have either because they send us all their repair business. VZ has, as gudgen posted, always been up to date on new software patches for their handsets.

My 6000 my, first LG, and my 7000 both shut down, radomly. The 6000 did it horribly but it only did it when i was doing a million things and once, ie. AIM, games, and texting all in the same moment. This is why i got rid of it because it happend so often. The 7000 does it once in a blue with the same set up i might be on AIM and i get a voice mail and it resets. I dont find it bothering, could be the reason you dont see the power off issue. Its not bothersum. its not like your computer is reseting.... its a phone.
