Sneaky Trick

I'm finally done with my Sprint contract and ready to switch to Verizon. From the looks of it, the VX8100 is the best phone (soon to be) available and is a considerable upgrade from the vx8000. The only thing is i don't have the patients especially considering that we really have no idea about a release date.
1) If i buy the vx8000 with the replacement insurance and use it for the next 6 months or so, when presumably the 8100 would be released and the 8000 discontinued, then happen to lose my 8000 would verizon send me a 8100 as a replacement since the 8000 had since been discontinued?
2) If this is a ridiculous notion and not at all feasible, is it worth waiting a few weeks for the release of the moto E815? Bottom line: since i'll be a ...

carrier?

Does anyone know if this phone will be for a specific carrier, or is this phone gonna be for just about anything? What I mean is for example the razr. It's meant for the carrier cingular. Is the v635 going to be for something specific like that or can it come with any carrier? Thanks.

Voice Memo on LG8100

I have been looking for a phone that has a long voice memo feature. I like the fact that you can record up to 200 minutes (as compared to the LG 8000 4 minutes)
but why can you only record in 1 minute increments?

Stereo Bluetooth Headsets

Do any of you know of any good and reasonably priced ones on the market? I've read about the BlueTake BT420ex but I'm not sure if it will work with this phone 😕 What do you guys think?

Question regarding Bluetooth and static..

Does anybody here own a phone or used a phone with Bluetooth and a wireless headset? I'm currently using the BT210 adaptor and a Jabra wireless on my 8000 and notice there is a lot of static.

If the 8100 has the capability of using a Jabra wireless headset then will the calls be clear or will there still be a lot of static?

Screen size

Is it me or does the size of the Internal and external screen look smaller then the VX8000 or is it the picture shown and does the VX8100 have the same resolution as the VX8000.

Thanks for your input

VX8100 will be out very soon - before e815

Expect the 8100 to be out very soon. On the new LG car chargers that they sell at the Verizon stores it ends with "...8000, 8100" on the bottom where is lists compatible models. They just started saying that on the new shipments that came last Friday. I would say mid May to be honest.

Video Capture

I downloaded the Manuel for the vx8100 and right above the information for its camera it said: QTV 2x: MPEG-4 Streaming (QCIF 15 frames per sec, 15 minutes)..does that means that the video camera will record for 15 minutes or what???? anybody else read this??

Is there any way to unlock the bluetooth capabilities?

I'm with Cingular now and I have a phone with bluetooth. Its actually something that I find pretty useful, as I transfer pictures and contact information back and forth via bluetooth all the time.

Is there anyway to free up the bluetooth on this phone to allow file transfer?

4 Questions:

I have 3 questions:

1) Will the bluetooth be like the Motorola V70? Which only works for a bluetooth headset but not for linking it to your car or computer?

2) Will it have vibration mode, a feature which is recently missing from LG phones? (I don't talk about manner mode which mutes everything, from ringers to button beeps and new message reminders. I just want regular sounds on everything, and vibrate and THEN ring feature, or vibrating at all volume levels not just with the highest volume, like the recent LG phones).

3) Will this phone be able to be used for a high-speed modem on a notebook computer? (the 8000 is not, that's what I've read in some magazines).

4) Digital only or tri-mode?

Finally, I hope they'll add some oth...

The best option

My verizon contract is up in june or july and I'm looking for the best phone out when my contract is up. The phones I have been looking at are LG vx8100, LG vx8000, Audiovox CDM-8940, Motorola e815, and the Samsung SCH-A890. I like all of these phones but am having trouble deciding with one to purchase. CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

Quick Question

In my area there is a small CDMA company that has unlimited minutes for cheap. I also have Verizon because when I first got a cellphone, my parents had Verizon and I still have my contract. Can I put a 2nd line on the VX8100? Or, when my contract expires, can I unlock the 8100 and use it with the cheap unlimited minutes carrier?
