Text Messeges

On the 8100, will you be able to read Text Messeges on the outside screen like on the 8000? I really like this feature and hope they include it in the 8100!

Price

Hey this phone looks nice. I bought the 8000 when it came out and have been somewhat disappointed for various reasons. Any price rumors on the 8100??

Question about MiniSD card

Hi, I know that verizon cripples their bluetooth so you pay for picture/ringtone download, but is it possible to just take the SD card out, put it in your computer and then copy everything you want on it? or is the SD card crippled too?

Hmmm- I can see why Bluetooth is disabled with Brew....

I took this off the Qualcomm website and they had a drop down regarding BREW and why choose it.

"With BREW, your needs come first: You own the relationship with your subscribers, you decide which apps to offer, and you determine the level of interaction you want with publishers and developers."

Last time I checked wasn't the rule of business your CUSTOMERS ALWAYS come first.

anyone ever though about........

has anyone thought about contacting LG directly about our concerns with new phones coming out? I mean, we have access to their address and who is working on the phone by the FCC patent/ID. take for example our concerns with the camera being CMOS, the cover being blue, the screens color and resolution.. I'm sure if enough people actually took the time to give the company REAL feedback on what we have learned about the phone, maybe something will change? but you can be greedy with it though and tell them they need to change everything about it and blah blah. being professional is KEY for anyone to take you seriously. if you are just like.. "yo that blue cover is WHACK!" or "what the **** with the CMOS camera?" then you will get no conside...

Why so much built in memory!

I can't see why they would put so much memory in the phone(512mb). Hey I am not complaining, but that's a lot of memory, ya know.

Memory space

I was confused about the spec about space. Is it 512MB integrated on the phone, or is it 512 with a miniSD card?

Bluetooth

For those who may ask... No, Bluetooth will be be fully active in this phone. Here's why: Verizon stated themselves that because of agreements with BREW developers, they cannot allow any phone with BREW to have the OBEX Bluetooth profile. Which is what happened with the Motorola V710. Sorry, touch luck! Sad

This phone looks like it is better than hte 8000

I bought the 8000 just so I could sell it, I thought that it was misshaped and bulky. Hopefully this won't inherete the same traits. I can't wait till this phone comes out I think that it will be a great phone for me. I have the VX4500 and I will keep it untill I get this other one.
