Myth Buster

Let me give you a few facts on the v810. In the states (Verizon network) the phone will NOT be released in June. It is NOT built upon the 720/730 technology. You CAN hide the main menu buttons. It is a Trimode phone. Sound quality is good. Standard ring tones suck. All EMS standard ring tones play at a low volume. Housing is made of plastic, but not cheap feeling like the 720. Has a scrolling outer display like the LG 6000. Built in flash works better than most others. Two main differences between the 710 and 810 is size and the 710 has video capability. Signal strength is good. Standby battery life is adequate. You can open the flip while the unit is still in it's holster. Motorola finally got with the times and provided a user friendly dat...

Newsflash!!!

This phone and every other motorola is a 720 w/ more features, if the 720c couldn't handle calls, what do you think it will do with a camera? Until they kill the P2K line, its useless to even try Moto anymore

Verizon has a major problem with their marketing group

I do not know who makes the decisions on what new phones to acquired, but verizon is pretty bad on getting the new phones out there , compared to the competition. Course verizon wireless has better coverage network area in the US, but having nice looking phones will really help business too. Many people are switching to other carriers, giving up better coverage, for better looking phones. I know that sounds stupid, but is actually happening. Having the greates coverage area, plus some nice looking phones to go with it, makes a lot of business sense. Verizon wake up and smell the coffee. Do something before the competition gains up on you!!!!

PS. Actually I'm on of verizon's client that is really sick and tired of the selection of p...

v810 Question

Just wondering when this phone was actually supposed to be released. From visiting Motorola's website for the past couple of months it appeared to me that the v710 came out of nowhere and is now the hot phone to get. There must be some serious bugs on the v810. To me, the only thing it has going for it, compared to the v710, is its size.

Mixed signals based on feedback from Motorola Representatives

While I realize that some of these reps, do not have detailed information or are not permitted to divulge too much of what they may know regarding the exact release dates of these phones but at least there should be consistency across the board. From I've seen in this forum, more and more Motorola reps are starting to give June/July timeframes for the V810 & V710. I sent a question to Motorola regarding something totally different and mentioned the simple fact that I am one of the thousands of folks anxiously awaiting the release of these phones and the rep gave me information that would seemingly indicate that release is not really eminent. What the rep said was "Concerning the release dates for V710 and V810, we do not have any estimate...

810 and 710 release dates!!

The 810 is scheduled to be out with VZW in june and the 710 is out in July!! The 810 is the smaller of the two and has less features, but will be less expensive also around $100. The 710 is their highend phone and will be around $250!! It does have motorola's biggest screen ever and holds 3 min of video!! The 710 also has a memory card that can be upgraded to hold more pix etc. Motorola also has a v840 coming out that they call their world phone, because it has cdma for the US and a gsm chip for traveling overseas!!!

Is Everything alright???

Just a few days ago, the battle was between the V710 & the V810. Suddenly everyone has dropped the case of the V810 and non-stop rumors about the V710. Is the V810 going to be that horrible that no one pays attention anymore??? I know the V710 does A LOT more but hey its motorola and verizon together making the hype even bigger. So does anyone have a date for when this phone comes out???

The phone will be out in....

This is a response i got from Motorola today. Your questions might be answered in the 5th paragraph. Enjoy!!!!

Thank you for contacting Motorola e-mail support. We appreciate your interest in our brand and our products.

Regarding your concern, we are excited about bringing the Motorola V810 to US market!

It's our commitment that when we deliver the V810, it'll meet or exceed our customer's expectations. This requires extensive testing of the produ...

Verizon rejected this phone

This phone will not be carried by verizon because the antenna(when extended) gets in the way of the camera. Motorola refuses to fix the problem and verizon doesnt want another phone with more problems, at least thats what i heard.
