Motorola V810

Just wondering if there was any new info you could share... 🙂

The info page makes no listing of the "Headset Jack (2.5 mm)" and it is a "no" for this line item in any compare results.

Is this a phonescoop specs error or is it possible that Moto made a phone that has no headset jack, no speaker and no BT? If the Phonescoop stats are correct, this phone will have a VERY limited market!

This phone will be released in September, according to a newsreport released today on the NYSE. However, this phone will not be for VerizonWireless. Instead, it is going to U.S. Cellular.
This phone sucks anyhow.

Will this phone be carried by Motorola or not?!

I am the proud user of a Motorola v60i and have had no problems. I am due for an updated phone and let me tell you, Verizon stinks for their phone selection. Great customer service and network, but bad for giving the consumer new phones to choose from.
I am partial to Motorola and their styling of phones. All of the Samsung and LG phones do not cut it in the styling department for me.
I do not need bluetooth or video recording like the v710 offers, especially the steep price! I just want a sleek, small phone and a camera would be nice.

If anyone can tell me why it takes Verizon soooooooooo long to offer decent phones, please clue me in.

The press release for the v810 for US Cellular says it has a "sleek mtal housing." I always thought it was plastic. If its metal, that's great.

Can anyone confirm?

"Although we believe Verizon forced Motorola to redesign the antennae on the V810 CDMA camera phone, we learned that Verizon will not be offering the V810 after all, representing what appears to have been a wasted expense for PCS."

The v810 is officially dead.

😁 TThe phone still went through our testing, and it completed with a 8 out of 10! The v810 will still be available, but only after the v710 gets motorola back on the verizon wireless block, on the sales side! Think about it guys currently Motorola has no phones out when you you go to a vzw communication store. No,t730,c343,v60s, only v60p.

First to Aldcon, I want to thank you for your post. The person attacking your credibility is clearly new to the boards since I know many of us regulars have grown to trust your information since you have proven yourself. And on that note, please don't ever stop! 🙂

What can you tell us about the 810 testing? What were some of the problems that they found? 8/10 I assume is not bad, but I would like to know what it got points off for.

Also, now that it's done, what's your gut feeling about when we'll see it? I know you posted after the 710, but how long after?

Hi, i bought that cell fone a week ago and i already don't like it.
why i have to pay my cell company to download/upload pictures photos and ringtones?
in the user manual, motorola says that you can download from the wap, but here in Brazil my company locked that, and I'm using the brew.
That means that i have to pay the connection and the stuff that i download.

Now I'm trying to see the picture using the wap, and locked the screen. So I'm triyng to use that stuff and cache from the browse, to save the picture and the ring, but didn't get any success.

Somebody help me please

I have nothin against this phone but i'm surprise that ya'll want it over the V710 which is better and will be out before the V810. so what makes ya;'ll want this instead. Please don't flame me, i jus want to know.

Look at the release date on phonescoop.com, it says EXPECTED RELEASE: SEPTEMBER 2004. Boy i'm gonna pass on all the new hi-tech phones just for this phone 😉 i cant wait. Its pitiful

Does anyone know anything about when the 810 will be released?

I understand that the 710 had some issues and is being tweaked. But why havent they released the 810 in the U.S.

Anyone hear anything reliable about a release date?

Does anyone know what information made phonescoop change the expected availability date to July '04? Do they know something we don't?

Also-

Saw the ad in New Yorker magazine, it has a stylish half-dressed woman holding the phone and it says "Primamoto." On the bottom it says "integrated camera, polyphonic speaker, large color screen, couture comes to cell phones." I have to think that if Moto is pushing this phone in an upscale new york magazine they're definitely releasing it soon.

I found this phone in the marriot hotel... and i didn't know that this phone was that good and expensive...

Why is it that anyone cares about this phone?

Other than being a little smaller than the 6000 or 8900, it wass designed to compete with them. That generation of phone is passing and Moto couldn't fix the QC in time to get it out. Those phones are becoming obsolete now and everyone is moving to better phones at OPP (opening price points). You can get videos etc.

I understand that some may want it because it is a Moto, but even that doesn't make sense to me. It has been a long time since they have made a good phone compared with the Toshibas and LGs of the world. If you can get more features in a better phone, why would a...

The planned availability of this phone changed from 2nd Qtr 2004 to July 2004. Guess it will come out this month.

Just saw a pic of this phone in the latest entertainment weekly in Los Angeles. Looks like the phone may be released here...or it could just be a widespread advertising scheme dreamt up by those good folks at verizon. I think we should riot...
