Mixed signals based on feedback from Motorola Representatives

While I realize that some of these reps, do not have detailed information or are not permitted to divulge too much of what they may know regarding the exact release dates of these phones but at least there should be consistency across the board. From I've seen in this forum, more and more Motorola reps are starting to give June/July timeframes for the V810 & V710. I sent a question to Motorola regarding something totally different and mentioned the simple fact that I am one of the thousands of folks anxiously awaiting the release of these phones and the rep gave me information that would seemingly indicate that release is not really eminent. What the rep said was "Concerning the release dates for V710 and V810, we do not have any estimate...

I have been reading these postings for waaaaaaay to long now. I've heard the release rumours, the "insider" information, the complaints, the migration to the v710, the hilarious arguments amongst users disputing whats what in the cell phone world. Who knows who at verizon and motorola, and how you abbreviate vsw, and why one would prefer the v810 over the v710 and vice versa. Its been a guilty pleasure hidden within my daily internet rituals. Back and forth with howards forums. I never bothered to comment since I don't work for verizon or moto, or know anyone who does and am consitently anoyed by the repeat information. I just want a stylish functional up to date phone from a carrier that I have commited to. Ive used sprint, AT& T, an...

I talked to a Verizon rep yesterday and was threatening to switch to ATT do to the constant problems with my T 730.
She told me that the new LG 8000 and the Motorola 810 were due out in June for sure and she seemed to know all about both phones as she described them in detail to me.
She told me to be patient and that I would be glad I waited the month or so to get one of these new phones.
Could have been a ploy to keep me as a Verizon customer but she seemed to be sincere and also told me she has seen the Moto 810 and was able to play with it from someone at Verizon that was testing one.
For what it's worth I am going to wait awhile and see if it comes out next month.

Only time will tell. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt with regards to the June/July timeframe 🙂 . Something has definitely got to give real soon though.

I would hope that you were totally bluffing with regards to switching to AT&t Wireless though. I was a long time AT&T customer and the worse thing I did was migrate over to GSM last year (I got the T720, which was equally issue ridden). My service was absolutely horrible in some places in the NY/NJ area and it seemed like it was getting progressively worse! Perhaps once their GSM network matures (or whatever occurs as a result of being acquired by Cingular) the service will improve in that area. I am extremely pleased with my Verizon service and I'll love it even more when...
