Funny, I have never had any of those problems. My bluetooth headset connects (by connect, I mean the time from opening the boom mic on my HS850 till I can hear something) quickly, with virtually no wait time (about 1 sec....JUST enough to notice it.) The voice quality is clear, and I have only had a problem ONCE with getting a low signal area, and that's because I was outside, which I've heard can happen with many ...

I'm not misunderstanding anything. 6-7 seconds is the max....from what I've been told AND seen 3-4 seconds is more the norm. And 6-7 seconds is still shorter then it takes to connect a phone call and wait for the person to answer. Either way, this is only ONE negative thing about Cingular's PTT. After that you have all the included extra features plus cingular's MUCH larger network, and when you include all that, I think ...

Basically it should be scheduled for announcement on October 13th, and will cost users an additional $9.99 per month for unlimited PTT minutes (or family-plan users $19.99). As expected, their PTT launch devices will be the LG F7200, and the Samsung D357, which itself will feature MP3 ringtones, Bluetooth, and, if we understand correctly, EDGE data. Nextel dropped the ball.

in the Motorola i930 / i920 forum

After WAY to many delays, and other phones coming out that can argueably surpass this one (i870) there just isn't enough to warrant the purchase of an i930 anymore. Especially with Sprint fixing to release the PPC-6700. Nextel simply waited to long and has dropped the ball. If this would have released when it was originally supposed to in 2004, they could have made alot of money with it...but now...the phone just honestly sucks.

Play a song off the cd directly. Then play the same song in mp3 128kbps. Tell me if you can hear the difference. I know I can. Heck, I can even hear the difference between 128 and 160kbps...and that's a much smaller gap than the one between 128kbps and cd.

People are still getting used to paying .99 a song for downloading. I personally still think it's a rip off. Paying .99 to OWN something that you can only burn a set amount of times, you have to ALWAYS have a certain software installed to use, and you can't even choose the quality of the song you download (all services offer mp3's at 128kbps...sound quality improves GREATLY if you take it up to 160 or 192kbps) ...

Um...the i930 has a whole lot more going for it than "Style". For one, it is a Smart phone runing windows mobile. For another, it is going to be their new GSM/Iden phone for overseas roaming without having to have a separate phone like the V505 or an old-@$$ phone like the i2000. Also, as I've stated before, there is going to be a whole i9xx series, including an i960 (upgraded version of i930 with GSM ...

In a day and age where phones support MULTIPLE frequencies (read: GSM, Bluetooth, WiFi, EDGE, IR and many others) How hard do you really think it is to add the ability to use one frequency rather than another? I'm also simply stating that since Nextel has already proven they can make dual mode Iden/GSM phones, making an Iden/CDMA phone shouldn't be too hard either. As I have pointed out, the only thing that will be HARD about ...

Incorrect. He said CLASS ACTION lawsuit. No matter what your T's & C's say, if it can be proven a certain business practice is being performed regularly that shouldn't be, a class action lawsuit is not bound by the T's & C's because it's usually filed by another group in the interest of the customers anyway, so that group isn't bound by any terms or conditions anyway
