Nextel dropped the ball.

After WAY to many delays, and other phones coming out that can argueably surpass this one (i870) there just isn't enough to warrant the purchase of an i930 anymore. Especially with Sprint fixing to release the PPC-6700. Nextel simply waited to long and has dropped the ball. If this would have released when it was originally supposed to in 2004, they could have made alot of money with it...but now...the phone just honestly sucks.

I totally agree, this phone is way old, VGA camera? atleast give it a 1.3megapixel. No bluetooth? No music controls on the outside? Fm radio? plus this phone looks like a brick, it is as thick as my samsung phone is wide, this phone is a joke

Yo, msd18, I actually wanted to ask you about the Moto v3i and your review of it. You mentioned you got it from saberpoint.com which seems to have a good price but in seeing that you mentioned that you got a nother phone from them I though you might be affiliated with them in some way and therefore just plugging them and not a reliable trustworthy source of a customer review of their company and buying from them.

Also, I was wondering if you had a coupon code for them to make it a little bit cheaper as the shipping is expensive.

Sorry to have to ask you this in a response to a post of yours but it seemed to be the only way as I couldn't respond to the review and you didn't list any contact info.

I have two serious non-ranting questions for you: (1) will the data features work overseas (do you support EDGE or GPRS); (2) what kind of navigation is provided (a soft keyboard and touch screen makes a huge difference compared to T9 tapping and arrow keys.) Personally, I do like Bluetooth headsets a lot, but to me the usability of this phone depends mainly on the two questions above. Windows Mobile is actually pretty decent when paired with Exchange Server properly.

Bsash17 - I sort of answered my own question about data. I am not a current Nextel customer, and am not familiar with WIden coverage, but I assume it is only domestic. Is it generally available now where Iden works in the US?

As to navigation, I really don't see anything in my research to suggest anything better than T9 for text input and arrow keys for navigation. Am I wrong?

To that point, do you know if there are any softkeys defined by the Windows Mobile Buttons control panel? That would help a lot, as it would allow for installing IBM's Voice Command, which can dial numbers, start programs, or find contacts with speaker-independent voice recognition.
