People are still getting used to paying .99 a song for downloading. I personally still think it's a rip off. Paying .99 to OWN something that you can only burn a set amount of times, you have to ALWAYS have a certain software installed to use, and you can't even choose the quality of the song you download (all services offer mp3's at 128kbps...sound quality improves GREATLY if you take it up to 160 or 192kbps) So I really don't think anybody with half a mind will pay MORE than .99 for part of a song....

But once you burn a CD of the songs you buy then you can re-rip them to use any number of times.

Also CD-quality is 128. I find anything over that is actually just extra space.

My 2 cents.

yea once u burn it and re-rip you've now wasted a ton of time that you should have never had to bother with. Some of us actually work 45 hours a week and don't want to waste our precious free time with that sh*T.

cd quality is more like 192k or 224k.

128k mp3's sound like ass. I have a 3000 dollar stereo in my car and anything less then 224k sounds like you have something covering the speakers. also if you have half a decent ear you can clearly tell the difference between 128 and 192. I wouldn't let my mother listen to the crap they consider 128........anyways i work at verizon, do your best NOT to buy this service so it burns and crashes, scammers can kiss my ass with over priced music. Try 10 cents and then maybe maybe i'd consid...

Play a song off the cd directly. Then play the same song in mp3 128kbps. Tell me if you can hear the difference. I know I can. Heck, I can even hear the difference between 128 and 160kbps...and that's a much smaller gap than the one between 128kbps and cd.

Yeah...

I'm a DJ I don't know anything about sound quality. You're so right... you're $3000 stero is your car is so many times better than my $15,000 mobile system or the $35,000 system in the bar where I work.
