using Sprint phone

Can I buy a sprint phone and using it the Nextel Network?

You will NEVER be able to use a sprint phone on nextel's network. Nextel uses iDen technology, Sprint uses CDMA. When they merge, they will make Dual Mode phones which supports both iden/cdma. So no...you will NEVER use a cdma phone on an iden network. That's like trying to use a Verizon phone with Cingular....sheesh....

After Nextel gets their iDen network switched over to CDMA (which is the main reason they were bought out anyway, they had to change technology or shut down and were broke) you will be able to ...
