I left Verizon for this!

May 16, 2010 by BBFAN73

I absolutely love the Iphone. I have yet to find fault with it. I guess I am lucky that I live in a good coverage area so I haven't had any problems with dropped calls. Battery life is ok, recommend the car charger as well. Browser much better than Blackberry and I just wasn't interested in a Droid. No regrets only that I should have switched sooner!

ASWOME AWSOME PHONE

Apr 27, 2010 by lremy22

There really isn't much that this phone cannot do. You name it and it does it. GPS works great, camera is phenomenal, this phone is a mini laptop. I really can't say anything negative about it. At&t may not have the best coverage when it comes to 3G signal but this phone is so fast that there really is not that much of a difference between the data speeds when it comes to 3g or 2g. What I love the most about it is the flow of everything the phone just flows. Even if it freezes its for a second and you probably wouldn't notice anyway. I Love this Phone and Apple has really earned my respect. I highly highly recommend getting this phone if you don't already have it, its so worth it, you wont be dissapointed.

The iPhone 3Gs is a worthy upgrade, from anything

Apr 22, 2010 by justfinethanku

I'm a big fan of Apple, have been for a long time. My review is a little biased, but I'll keep it as fair as possible.

I'm using the phone on AT&T and the call quality is decent. I can't really complain, though I can't say it stacks up against a LOT of other phones. I am a little hard of hearing and I definatly prefer Motorola in this 1 solitary aspect.

Pro's
1. Fast.
-The "S" means a lot. They nearly doubled the speed and you notice it right away. I have owned all three iPhones and this one is far and above the fastest of the three.
2. New Camera features really make it stand out. Manual focus and adjustment of lighting is about as professional as you can get. 3.2 megapixel camera could be better but performs very very very well.
3.Video is beautiful. I have never used a phone that recorded as clearly as this one. And sharing the video is a breeze! it fills the display and reproduces a very very very smooth video.

Cons:
Nothing here that OS 4.0 will not fix.
The thing needs folders badly for it's applications.
someone else commented that its easy to spend a lot of money on the App store, this is true. This phone will DRAIN your bank account if you're not careful!!!!

jailbroken makes it almost perfect

Apr 18, 2010 by madmatg

Jailbroken this thing gets a 4.5 and that's the only way to use it. Without jailbreak it's a 3.5. It misses a lot of stuff other phones have but with jailbreak...

jailbreak adds

1. ability to text without having to leave your current app

2. can change the background and icons as well as different sounds.

3. can change text tones.

4. can turn on and off 3g and wireless and other settings quickly with the touch of one button which saves battery life

5. notifications on the lock screen.

This phone is great in other ways than the jailbreak but without it it's not elite, fast reaction to touch, gps and compass with the free apps that use it are great,

cons:
1. camera is 3MP?? and no flash on the camera
2. no flash support seems to ever be coming for the internet.

Not as good as Nexus one

Nexus one has better screen resolution, faster processor and bigger screen. I owned Iphone 3gs in past but now have nexus one and am very happy with the switch.

My Friends Said It Was "Cool"

Jan 30, 2010 by waldorfsalad

I got this phone because my friends said it was cool. In all honesty, I didn't know ANYTHING about it. But I wanted to have a cool phone, so I got it. It has soooo many cool apps. It has this really cool touch screen thing. But AT&T- The Network that I got it from, sucks. I have been dropping call after call... sometimes the lag on internet connection is ridiculous. I love my phone, but i HATE this friggin ATT!!! GRRRR.....

iPhone 3GS - good device, decent phone

Jan 24, 2010 by en102

After coming from many WinMo's and Blackberries, I've decided to get a refurb'd iPhone 3GS (save lots .... +$60 alone in taxes).
Comparing it to a WinMo touch screen/stylus, the iPhone is VERY much more usable than anything I've used or tried (including G1 and Pre). Only thing that I don't really like is the limitation of only 1 app open at a time.

Pros:
- Very fast, smooth UI
- Very easy to use
- Great screen (added a clear shell to keep from damage)
- Lots of accessories and applications (lots of junk too)
- Skype over WiFi is as good as using it on my PC
- Decent battery life
- Decent priced when bought as a refurb through AT&T

Cons:
- 3G voice calls are not as 'clean' as on my HTC Tilt
- Locked device - can't swap batteries, all apps must go through iTunes
- No mulitasking between applications
- Could use a larger screen (800x480?)
- Need MAC to develop apps

Unbelieveable phone

Jan 14, 2010 by nofears

I was a loyal BB Pearl user and took the chance to get an iPhone 3GS about 6 months ago. Let me just say that it has been the best phone I have ever had.

The only con I have come up against has been the lower than ideal volume of the speakerphone but other than that the phone has been awesome.

I waited this long before I left a review to make sure that the phone performed as described...it does...and more.

Simple as that.

This is why I ported!!

I had been with verizon for years, and for years I had hoped that they would get a phone that could do the things the iphone does. Well, as we all know, they didn't. In my opinion, the droid doesn't come close. The only thing with the iphone i would change would be the ringtones and the ability to add new ones would be simplier.

Ranks as one of my top Favorite Things!

I waited a long time to get this phone, had to change carriers and I am paying alot more monthly but I have to say I don't regret it one bit. It's like having my laptop with me. It does everything and fits in my pocket. Texting isn't great but the pros outweigh the cons by a zillion. Don't care for AT&T, I think they are a big rip off and cant wait until other carriers have the iphone. It's one of those things that once you have had it, it would be hard to go to any other phone. It would be too good to be true if any other carrier had the phone. AT&T is making a killing off of the unreal high rates. They will go broke once iphone is released to others and I'll be one of the first to change. I haven't met anyone that regrets getting an iphone.
