FOR MARY424!

I read before somewhere that you bought a case for your Chocolate. Was it the A990? Could you please repost what your thoughts were. We just got our cases for the Chocolate and myself and my manager aren't too crazy about it. Any help would be great!

Funny Problem

I have my phone set to not hang up when you slide it down i.e., only end calls via the "End" button. However, when I press the end button to terminate a call rather that going back to the home screen it goes back to my contacts list if I dialed from contacts. I have to press end again to get back to the home screen.

Anyone else?

the numeric keypad backlight color is... WHITE?

I just got the phone!! yay! 😁
I'm so happy with it and this is an ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS PHONE!! I totally love it so far and I got used to the touch pad since like in first five minutes. 🙂

okay well here's my lil question..
when I saw some pictures from the websites,
the numeric keypad's backlight color was RED.
So when you slide the phone to open it, the entire keypad (both touch pad and numeric keys) were lighted with RED color.

Now by using it for couple hours, I think the backlight of the numeric keypad is WHITE, not RED.
Is this only mine or is this the way it's supposed to be?
Any way to change the color for backlight? (I doubt there isn't one...)

Please help! 😁

Saving Pictures to the memory card

Under settings and tools then memory you can have the phone do this. Just like the past 5 LG's or so. Big mistake in the video review!

If you were to buy a bluetooth headset between BT620 and HT820...

If you were in a situation that you would have to choose either Jabra BT620s or Motorola HT820 Bluetooth headset, which one would you choose?
I know the price ranges are pretty similar but I've heard people saying that BT620 is uncomfortable to wear and the ears hurt when you wear it for a long time, but I like the design of it. On the other hand, HT820 looks comfortable to wear but I don't like the design of it.

GRR.. which one should I choose.. I'm pretty sure that Verizon don't sell the BT620s but they do sell HT820... GRR

any suggestions? 🙂

Quick Question

I read that itunes compatible music can't work on the chocolate - though can you still burn a CD with itunes songs and rip them to Windows Media Player, or itunes songs no matter what don't work with Chocolate? Thanks.

What's the chocolate song?

I know the song is OOH LA LA by Goldfrapp but is there a specific remix which has the same part that's played in the commercial?

One good this about this phone...

The chocolate (along with the LG-vx8300) has a feature for the video in which you can either do a 15 second video or switch it to "available memory" which means that if you have a memory card you can put it on video for hours on end and NOT be limited to 15 seconds, which for me is nothing. 😁 You don't even have to get a memory card to do that feature. You can use the available memory on the phone too. 🤤
Since the LG-vx8300 does it too, the Chocolate blows becuase you can get enable the mp3 on the 8300 by just hitting the menu button and zero 7 times, look for music setting and put it on "enable mp3" and you are all set.
Don't waste your money on the Chocolate. You'll thank me later. 😎

Ringtone from VCAST Music Store?

I know the phone has a couple apps from the ringtones feature on the phone that let you purchase ringtones and ringback ringtones for like 3 bucks a piece, but I was wondering if you could set a song you purchase from the VCAST music store as a ringtone? Because they're only 99 cents and for some reason, I can't get the chopped songs I send through funformobile to work as a ringtone.

It Doesn't Look THAT Good

It doesn't look that good. Anyone else agree? I feel kinda stupid walking around with what looks to be an ipod knock off. Plus I've had people tell me that it looks brown in the sunlight >.< I also find it's 'gloss' or cheap plastic shell to be annoying as heck. I returned a phone I just got from a VZW upgrade to get the chocolate and man is it a giant dissapointment (hooray for 15 day return policies!).

I'm going back to my Nokia
Nokia 6305i which is fairly new and is a slider phone as well. Looks better in my opinion, even though it's got the antenna thingy. And some of the menu buttons are arranged in a circle as well 😛 Also, being that I vacation in the mountains on some weekends I like the reception on the Nokia a lot better.

can't I just set MP3 for ringtone?

I've read couple threads about setting customized ringtones for Chocolate,
and I wonder, can't I just cut the MP3 file for less than 350kb, upload it to my micro SD card or phone memory, and then set it as a ringtone??

The directions are SO confusing and I really don't know what to do. :'(
anyone can explain how to do it in easier way to understand it for newbie like me?

HELP PLEASE!!

Good review

Well done, Eric.

We have one of these here in my office, and if anything I would say that Eric was too kind. Not inaccurate, mind you, just too nice about it.

To me the Chocolate is just a fashion accessory. I find the keys difficult to use at best because of the lack of tactile response, and I also found them to be less responsive than those on our 1st-generation S710a (with its notoriously laggy key response). I also find it impossible to use with one hand because all of the controls - particularly the keypad when the device is open - are too low. I have admittedly large hands, but a co-worker with small hands had the same problem with the control placement.

I would recommend avoiding the Chocolate if you're concerned about fu...

Chocolate and MP3's?? Ouch!

I am new to your forums and have a problem with my phone (I think). I am trying to synch my phone and computer (Media player 10). The drivers are installed and the phone is in the device manager. As soon as I try to synch through e phone it drops the phone from the device manager and I have to reboot my computer so it can be seen again. I called Verizon Wireless tech support and the poor guy spent 2 hours on the phone with me only to give up and pass it off to his manager and his manager passed me off to LG tech support. LG tech support did not have a clue what the problem is and passed it off as a "Microsoft windows media player problem". I called Microsoft and after enough complaining about paying for tech support they are helping me for f...

LG VX-8600

Has anyone heard about the LG VX-8600? It is listed as "coming soon" on the Verizon Wireless backup assistant site. It looks to be LG's answer to the razr.

Does it...?

Does the LG VX8500 fit well into jean pockets? And does it scratch easily like an iPod bc I've had experience with that and I don't like bulky cases

Future Versions

I'm interested in the LG Chocolate but I'm on a Verizon family plan and I'm not the main number on it. I've had my phone for two years now, so I could get the Chocolate for $199.99 - $50 rebate right now with a renewal, but I can't get it for just $49.99 because I'm not the primary on the family plan. The primary number will be up for the New Every Two discount and could buy the Chocolate for just $49.99 on October 18. I was wondering whether or not the phones are usually updated some or changed at all soon after they're released. If they are, I might just wait till October to get the Chocolate because the primary carrier on the family plan would be willing to buy the Chocolate for just $49.99 and give it to me. If the phones usually aren't ...

Funformobile.com

I used funformobile.com to send some music clips to my phone. I was going to use them as my ringers, but when I try to play them nothing happens. I used audacity to create the clips. When the clips were first created, they were in aud form. I renamed them as an mp3 and sent them to my phone. The files have a yellow bell next them on the ringtone menu. Any help would be great.
