I am new to your forums and have a problem with my phone (I think). I am trying to synch my phone and computer (Media player 10). The drivers are installed and the phone is in the device manager. As soon as I try to synch through e phone it drops the phone from the device manager and I have to reboot my computer so it can be seen again. I called Verizon Wireless tech support and the poor guy spent 2 hours on the phone with me only to give up and pass it off to his manager and his manager passed me off to LG tech support. LG tech support did not have a clue what the problem is and passed it off as a "Microsoft windows media player problem". I called Microsoft and after enough complaining about paying for tech support they are helping me for f...

I'm having a similar problem. Was on phone with verizon for three hours, I keep getting a "connection failure" error, when i hit sync. They finally told me it was the cable to go get a new one. So I did. Still no good. Tried with my parents computer and it syncs up fine. Both my computer and my parents computer are practically the same machine it makes zero sense. So calling Verizon back today.

I get the same message on the phone as well. I tried my son's computer and it does not work for me though. When I try to synch I hear and see the computer start to load the driver and then it kicks out and the drivers are not in the device manager until I reboot again. This is so wierd. Im calling Verizon back to try one more time...

DO NOT connect the phone through a HUB, even an internal one... Right to the ports on the back of your motherboard... It's kinda an ongoing "Known Issue" :-/

Just make sure you go to sync on your phone before actually plugging in the usb to the computer. So select sync, it starts searching, then plug in cable. Hear the doo doo sound and should be good. May take a couple tries but just repeat until connection.

If you are just talking about mp3's then crap on the sync cable and windows media 10. Just get a card reader and drag and drop your mp3's into your music file on the micro card slap it into phone and bam, their they are and you are done.

I would have to agree here. I avoided the sync'ing thing and went the card reader route.

One note though: If you're going to use a card reader, make sure you put the MicroSD card in your phone first. It'll make separate folders for Pix, Flix, and Music....

Then put the card in the reader, drop the music into the music folder (duh), and it should work just fine.

http://www.newegg.com »

You can normally find good prices there. Great customer service and if you live in Cali then you get all your orders in a day or so. The customer reviews on products can be helpful also.

This is the card and the reader I'm planning on getting.

Kingston 512MB MicroSD

Ezonics SD2GO 2-in-1 USB 2.0 Portable SD/MMC Card Reader/Writer

I'm a bit strapped for cash or I'd be getting a gig.

just the reader? I would say just run over to bestbuy or circuitcity. My card reader was like $20 bucks and was mac/pc compatible. Did you get a micro sd to sd card adaptor with your card? Sd readers are cheap, a micro sd reader is harder to find. I just throw the micro into the sd adaptor then put the sd in ceap little reader i got at bestbuy..no problems.

I got the pack at verizon...so it came with the mini sd reader and the larger part i can put it in. I tried putting some mp3's on from my PC at work and it didn't read it all correctly. as an example, i put a cd on and it did not put it in track order but rather alphabetical. Any idea how i can control this and/or will it happen when i use my mac to drop mp3's on the card?

The problem with the card reader is it puts the songs into an unusable music folder. Then you have to move the songs into the my music folder and the mp3's in the my mp3 folder cause the my music folder doesn't see the MP3's, it'll only see the .wma's. So the big problem to me is that the mp3's and .wma's don't play in the same play lists so if you have mixed files you can't listen to them both.

so convert all your mp3's into wma or the other way around then put them all in the same folder. even if you sync them your going to have to do the same thing.
