Motorola SLVR L7

So how do I consolidate phone numbers into a single entry for a person? Right now, I get multipel address book entries -- one for each phone number I have for a person in outlook. Thanks!

and downloaded a game and it wont play. i installed it just fine. saw on a previous post about installing some other app first??? can't find from website. anybody know what i'm talkin about? anybody have some other good sites for games and software?

Hello, just picked up this phone, and it's been great. I'm wondering though if anyone else is having this issue. When I get a voicemail, after I check, and delete the message, I'm getting a text message to my phone. It has a weird symbol followed by an @ sign, and that's it. Is anyone else having this problem?

Does anyone know if we can add new skins to the slvr? and what moto software do i use? i tryed moto 3.11 and it didnt know what type of phone i have. is the slvr so new right now?

I was curious does the cingular version have push to talk or not.

I really can't believe this is not on here. Did they just forget? It is a must for a candy bar style phone.

In march 2ND. review the person stated there are phone tools to adjust volume gains.Could someone tell me where I can get these tools or what they mean. Thank You

I am a long-time Nokia user who just switched to the Motorola SLVR. So far I'm disappointed and frustrated. Here are some of the issues:

Clock

Is there a clock screen saver?
Can the clock display while on a call?
Can the clock display while in iTunes?

Address Book

I brought the SIM card over from my Nokia phone and copied all the address book entries up to my SLVR. The SLVR address book now shows entries on both the Phone and SIM card - redundant...annoying! Can't find a setting to make it display the phone address book only.

Text Messaging

iTap sucks! Please tell me there is a way to use T9. Or tell me I will learn to not hate iTap.

does anyone know why the fast forward in the video player doesnt work? is it just my phone?

the option to FF only shows up when i stop the video then i FF partway into the movie/video and when I let off the button playback always starts over from the begining. is there a way to fix this?or are there java video players that i can use instead? I'd like to be able to skip to where I left off in a movie if i'm not able to finish it in one sitting without always starting over from the beginning

I was thinking of purchasing the Slvr L7 but after extensive research, my only suggestion is to stick with the Rokr E1 until they came out with a phone with more storage capacity, better camera, Edge support, etc... The Rokr E1 has the best speakers, rhythm lights and the call quality is excellence. The Slvr L7 has had unstellar reviews, plus the ear piece volume sucks. You cannot even hear the other person on the line. I would just stick with the Rokr E1. Also the Rokr E1 is actually smaller than in length compared to the L7. Here is an extensive review:

I have my SLVR set up to play custom ringer id's for different categories that I have my address book split up into. However, when I receieve text messages, it plays the same id, which is kind of awkward to have a 30 second song play for a text message. Is there any way to prevent this?

Hi everybody. I have SLVR L7 and I am pretty impressed. One feature that my old V600 had that I can't seem to find on this phone is the Voice Memo or Voice Record. It is handy if you don't have a pen and paper available and you have to take down info. from somebody on the phone you can just record the info. I know the phone does have voice dialing so I assume that it may have Voice Memo or Voice Record but maybe I just don't know how to use it on the SLVR L7. Can anybody help?

The motorola site lists the specs of this phone as having imap email support (and itunes). It seems itunes is not available if you don't get this from cingular but it seems many of the unlocked phones out there don't support imap email, some say they do. As it seems most of the unlocked phone vedors are just cutting and pasting pictures and specs from other websites does anyone know exactly what the software differences are to this phone if you don't by a cingular branded one?

I've got the L7 with no iTunes and the only way to play mp3's is by going through the sound files and either playing them one by one or creating a playlist. Basic to say the least!

Anyone know how to get a copy of Motorola's audio player or any other java apps. I've had a look around but no luck so far

my slvr's primary iTunes connection is to my desktop pc and it works fine, but there are a few songs on my laptop i would like to add to the phone. when i connect it to the laptop, i get the "...would you like to make this the primary library and replace all songs..." from iTunes. i select "no" but then the phone never appears in iTunes for manually adding/deleting songs. i do this frequently with my nano and never have any problems. any ideas???

I want to buy this phone but I want to know first if this phone comes with headphones?
