The other day i was trying to use the cable and bitpim to put ringers on my phone...and it worked but the problem is it worked for my friends phone and not mine...i was just wondering if i need to have the newest software on my phone? or is there something else...

Getting songs onto phone
I just got this phone and i cant seem to get songs onto it. I have gotten the music essentials kit, and a mini sd card and of course windows media 10, but when i plug in the pnone it says it does not recognize a device. I dont know what is wrong!

Echo Problems on the VX 8100
When I am on speakerphone, the person on the other end tells me there is an echo everytime they talk. The echo is not coming from me, but it's actually their echo that they are hearing.
Is there a way to resolve this problem?

nervous about this phone.
i'm probably most technically-retarded person on the planet and i just ordered this phone. should have it tomorrow. i'm getting a 1 gb memory card off of ebay but am now contemplating getting the music essentials kit. is it really necessary? and what about this card reader thing? where do i get one of those?

Movie issues
Hi, I used a program to convert a Hollywood movie to .3GP format, and it doesn't work on my phone. I try to put on the movie (which it does recognize the name of), but when I press play, it thinks and then shuts down. Does anyone have any advice? Also, does anyone have a free safe (non-trojan) program (other than super)?

Question about the Verizon return policy
I recently bought the music essentials kit from verizon last friday (4-2😎 and ive come to the conclusion that i would much rather prefer a card reader instead becuase in some ways its cheaper. My question is would verizon take this and refund my money. I have all the original packaging intructions and everything.

i have the Music essentials kit from verizon with the USB cable. It seems that with a card reader, i could actually make folders on the mini sd card and drag and drop songs as mp3's.
1) what are the pros of having a card reader
2) do you think if i packaged it up and tried to return it to verizon (it would be within 15 days) they would take it back?

LCD Screen
I broke both the outside and inside lcd screens on my phone and was just trying to find out if I would be able to replace them myself or if verizon could do it and get a price estimate. Thanks

Quick question about mini SD cards
Does the brand name of the card make a huge difference when it comes to the memory cards? Verizon kind of over charges the cards, the ones online are a lot cheaper. There is a 1GB sandisk for $46. But Kingston is a little cheaper.
Also how much would you estimate that the different amounts hold in terms of songs.

Best Bluetooth Headset for 8100??
I looked at the 8100 yesterday, but due to some Verizon screw-ups I wasn't able to upgrade to it. I'm probably going to get it today however. My question is what is the best Bluetooth Headset out there?
I know Motorola has a line of headsets, but do they work as well with non-Moto phones? Anyone with any experience with any other bluetooth brands: Jabra, XMmicro, etc.?

I just got the 1GB memory card today. I copied about 30 songs onto it so far. My question is...How come when i hold the play button on the outside of the phone, it says "no songs found on memory card". but when i go to the manage memory in the menu, it displays all of my songs?

I can't seem to be able to activate the equalizer... does it only work with MP3? I have mine setup to use WMA... I wouldn't think it would matter... my phone is brand new... 2 days old... so far I love it... but would like to have an EQ... my SW ver is T81VZv07
