Equalizer
I can't seem to be able to activate the equalizer... does it only work with MP3? I have mine setup to use WMA... I wouldn't think it would matter... my phone is brand new... 2 days old... so far I love it... but would like to have an EQ... my SW ver is T81VZv07

Yes, the EQ is only present when using the mp3 player, not thw WMA. Even with v07 you can still load mp3's and use that, but you don't have the ability to make playlists, etc., like when playing WMA's.

so its a trade off... use MP3's and get some EQ adjustment... but lose the ability to organize your music.... or stick with sound as is, but be able to organize music... I think I'll leave well enough alone...

I have been organizing my MP3s by altering the song name. The phone or the sd card, I don't know which, always puts the songs in alphabetical order, and numerical order ahead of that, whenever I add music to it. So you can manipulate the order by renaming your music as 01 Song name.mp3, or aSong name.mp3 or 01a Song name.mp3, followed by 01b Song name.mp3, etc. Anything's possible!

Yes...if you open the phone while an mp3 is playing and press the right soft key (above the end key) you have 3 different options to choose from....rpt all, rpt one, and shuffle.

When you guys put the MP3s on the memory card, do you copy and paste the folder that the songs came in or just the songs. I think it might organize them if you copy the folder named for the group or album that way. But I may just be all goofed up. As I am waiting impatiently for my memory card to arrive in the mail from Amazon so I can get started trying all this fun stuff.

The songs have to go in the 'my_mp3' folder on the card/phone. You can't copy a folder from your computer to paste in there. The only way to organize the mp3's is to put them into some sort of order yourself. For example, let's say you are loading a Frank Sinatra album and a Shakira album. Change all the song names to:
FS01-I did it my way.mp3
FS02-New York New York.mp3
FS03 - etc, etc.
then Shakira
SK01-Animal City.mp3
etc., etc. Make sense? Now, if you have v07, and put the songs in wma format, your songs will be organized by album, artist, etc.

I just ordered a 1GB MiniSD card today. I really got peeowed when I found out about the EQ not working. But thanks to you all, there is hope. I talked to a Verizon Tech Support person on the phone and they said that the EQ is gone for good and will not be coming back for Version 8 software. She said V8 is not even going to happen. That contradicts what I heard from another Techsupport person a few days ago. Errrrrrr!
