Motorola RAZR V3

I just went through the first 25 pages of this forum, and I didn't see anything else about this. I've had my phone for about 4 months now, and I've been through 3 of them (warranty is a great thing). I have a continuous problem with my phone book randomly deleting numbers. I don't do anything ot make this happen, not that I'm aware of. But the entries just delete themselves. You know when you add a new phone number/email it automatically gives it the next available speed dial number? Well, if I have "sarah" saved in speed dial number 7, I'll go to add a new phone book entry, and it will pop up as speed dial #7 and sarah will be gone from my phone book. I was wondering if there was any way to set my RAZR to record received / missed calls when the phone is turned off. There is no problem recording received / missed calls when the phone is turned on, but what about when it is turned off? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

On which carrier is this phone the best?

Cingular?
T-Mobile?
Verizon?

I have a V3 Razr through Cingular. When I take a pic, it's nice sized, maybe 30-50kb. When I use the 2x zoom, it might be 10kb. 4x zoom brings it down to abou 4kb!! It ends up being a tiny thumbnail! What's the point of being able to zoom in if you end up with a speck of a photo? I tried to change the settings while zoomed but it shows the proper resolution. Is this just how the camera is set up or am I missing something? This completely ruins the camera for me now.....

so im working on my second Cingular branded Razr and have had the same problem on both phones. When i get a call, and sometimes when i place them, the speaker sounds like they are talking through a fan and apparently i do too. the first phone what replaced under the recall in march but the second one has started doing it as well. is anyone else experiencing this problem?

and another thing. has anyone ever tried to bluetooth sync two razr's or any motorola models to the razr and been successful? i could do it with my s710a to razr but now i cant connect motorola to motorola. anyone know whats going on here?

Hello all,
I was at work and one of my customers answered his Razr and it was doing the coolest thing. The keypad lights and screen was flashing along to the beat of the ring-tone. I asked him how he got it to do that and he said that his son had programmed it for him. Does anyone know how to do that? I would be much obliged for any help I can get. Thanks in advance! 😁 😁

😕 Ok, I have had my phone for almost 2 weeks now. Everything is the bomb, I love it. Everything except the battery. It sucks man. I make a 15-20 minute call and my battery is 1/2 gone. Anyone else experiancing this ?

I'm on my second RAZR with T-Mobile. I began having technical issues with the first that included entering contacts, saving them with all their information, going back in to add more informaion and the contact is not there or is only partially there.
Also when trying to finish entering contact info, the phone kept asking for an email address even though I didn't want to add one.

Difficulties with setting up voice dialing. There seems to be a way to do it, but it's not very clear. When I set up several voice dials and tried to use it, the feature kept asking me if I wanted to send a text message and when I went into the contact page, it did not show a phone number for that person anywhere.

is it possible to change the "rings" when u press the keys for the menus or the end button?

on the tools menu, there is an Applications menu, when i hit it, it says no apps available. where can i get them and what are they?

Exchanged the T509 and got the RAZR yesterday. So far it's ok. There are definite issues with embedded commands and the guidebook is the worst.

Pros:
Sound quality/clarity - the bomb
People think I'm on a land line it's that good
Reception so far as been very good
Screen is great

Cons:
Embedded every day commands - 👿 pissing me off. Add a contact? How about if you go to MIT and graduate, then you can do it.
Menu is not intuitive at all
Multiple stept for what are normally simple tasks

Over all, I am literally trying not to like it but I may lose that battle. I still have 12 days to go before I have to decide.
And yes, as a previous poster said, do not show this phone in public - it's a huge theft item.

🙄 First I'm trying to get a couple pics onto my email I know I can just email them to me. Is there any other way?? Is the usb connection on the phone purely to charge it?? or can I use that connection to connect it directly to my computer and pull the pics off of my phone.

Also Kind of annoying is the dust pile up on the inside of the LCD display I assume lots of u have had the same prob. So have you found a solution besides not putting it in dusty places? Fortunately I found a place that can take the LCD screen protector off and replace it w/ a dust free one. I did that just to have the same thing happen again a month later. Help Plz.

I just got the Motorola data synch kit for my RAZR. It was easy to set up and synch my Outlook contacts, but the Outlook calendar is not working well. It will not load a lot of my recurring meetings from Outlook on the PC to the phone. A few recurring meetings synch, most do not.

The PDF user manual that loaded with the software is useless.

Does anyone have any suggestions or places to look?

I've transferred several graphic files to my Razr and they look great (all at the proper size of
176 X 220). Is there any way the phone could shuffle them randomly and periodically? That would be cool. Any application that could be downloaded to phone to activate that command?

Is there a program that can change my profile at preset times? As a student, I have to change it before and after every period. It would be very nice to have a program do it for me. Does anyone know of a program like this?

Is there any way to turn off the annoying bleep when you want to put the phone into silent or vibrate mode. For instance, if I'm someplace quite (church, meetings, etc...) and I want to silence the phone, the bleep creates the distraction I'm trying to avoid. Any advice is appreciated

🙄 Simply the ugliest cellphone out on the market with all it's different versions. Incredible to see how many people at my job love this phone. Other than the display, I would be embarrased to even be seen with this phone. The PEBL is a very good looking phone.

I have purchased a Motorola Razr V3, and in my box came with a small, tiny, double usb thingy that one plugs into into my phone and the other one just sticks out. What is that thing for, (I'm guessing who ever purchased a razr from Cingular or MAYBE T mobile) included that double USB thing. Please I need Some help!

I bought this phone of ebay.
It was originally T-Moblie but had been unlocked. I put my O2 sim card in and discovered that I couldnt send messages.
I was told to change the settings to:

Goto Messeges, click on the setting button, click on INBOX SETUP or MESSAGE SETUP then click on MMS MESSAGE SETUP

Service Name: T-Zones MMS
Server Name:http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Web Session Name:T-Zones

This didnt work and I still cant send messages.

I can upgrade this next month and i was thinking about getting this phone but i was wondering how good the reception is on this phone because the phone i have now gets ok reception but it isn't the greatest and i live in the country so that don't help however my relatives get great reception with there phones. any input will be appreciated thanks
