Annoying bleep when silencing phone

Is there any way to turn off the annoying bleep when you want to put the phone into silent or vibrate mode. For instance, if I'm someplace quite (church, meetings, etc...) and I want to silence the phone, the bleep creates the distraction I'm trying to avoid. Any advice is appreciated

The only suggestion I could give you is to change the audio style through the audio settings menu instead of the soft keys. It still makes SOME noise but very, very low.

HTH!

I figured out a trick... make your smart key "ring styles". To do this, go to Settings> Personalise> Home Screen> Home Keys> then go to the "smart keys" option to change it to "Ring Styles"

When you open the phone and press the smart keys, you will be able to change from loud to silent (or whatever profile you wish) without the bleeping noises.

Hope this works for you 🙂

It does, thanks for the tip - this of course can be done with ANY of the soft keys or cursor positions.

On at least the older OS versions on the Cingular RAZR, it's "Audio" not "Ring Styles."
