Any Word on how long it will take for Verizon to get us our new phone?

I mailed in my claim for the V710 a few months back and was just wondering if anyone has heard back from Verizon about getting a new phone yet or how long this might take for them to actually get back to us? Getting close to V3c time 🙂

v710 and bluetooth

First off I'm a USCC customer and not Verizon. I don't have that mobile phone tools and was told there was a demo available but am unable to find it but oh well.

The problem is that in My Bluetooth Places I do not get the file trasfer option, Motorola says it should work just fine sending ringtones to the phone via bluetooth. Not sure if this was disabled on USCellular phones like Verizon was. Could it be that I need a firmware upgrade? The software version is 8700_01.40.2P

Thanks in advance.

IPAQ rx3715 and V710 DUN

Hi there. I have read over and over about how people are connecting over DUN to the rx3715 just fine. I on the other hand cannot. IPAQ finds the phone just fine. The phone even starts dialing #777. It shows me a screen that says Data 14.4 and then disconnects in 5-6 seconds without ever establishing a connection(showing me the data packet words in the background).

Is there anything like a configuration that i am missing? I just got the phone and have not made any modifications to it or to the PDA.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated right now before i burn the phone.

settlement.. getting the runaround

has anybody not received their claim form yet?

I haven't and when i called customer service to ask why they haven't sent the form yet, they said that they couldn't help me on this matter. So then i was like, who do i contact to find out if i will be sent a form, and if not, why not? Again they said that customer service could not help me, and then directed me to call 1-800-416-8778. So i called, and there wasn't anybody to talk to because it was a completely automated service that did not allow me to talk to anyone to answer my questions. So i called customer service back again, and they said that there was nothing they could do, and then directed me back to the same f***ing phone number. I asked them what good the number does if i ...

Receipt for settlement question

I have a question regarding the settlment. I know that the form states that if you provide the receipt, they will give you that amount of money when you exchange your phone for a new one. I bought my phone the first day it came out (for $400!) and I sent away for a mail-in-rebate. Now I can't find my receipt! I don't want to get stuck with only $200, when I actually paid $400. Does verizon still have a record of my purchase, and if they do will they print me a new receipt?

Or, does anyone know how else I could prove how much I paid for it? Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

V710 Date?

Without having to scroll through the thousands of posts, can someone please tell me what date I can expect to get my new phone/purchase price refunded? I already sent in the claim, and I am just waiting to hear from Verizon at this point.

Another settlement question

Where I am currently living, verizon service doesn't work. If I wanted to leave verizon now, before the hearing in January, would I check the box reserved for those no longer affiliated with verizon, or would i check option number two? I ask this because the form does not say that a refund will be given (for the phone itself) for anyone no longer a customer with verizon.

Option #3 Questions

Now I know these questions might have been answered already on this site, but I couldn't exactly find them myself so please forgive me if they were already asked before.

I am choosing option 3 so that I can get a new phone. I want to get the LG VX9800, but I was wondering if we get a new phone do we have to sign a new contract? If we want a good phone, they are expensive if you don't sign a contract.
I know that nobody wants to sing a contract, but how much are they going to charge us for another phone?

Settlement Ideas

Hey guys I just got the settlement in the mail today... after looking through it I've decided that I'm probably just going to take the 25 dollar credit ... and this is why... first off i dont have proof of what i paid for the phone [even though it i only paid 80 bucks] so I'd only get 200 bucks credit if i returned my phone...second the only phone i was interested in from verizon was the Moto E815 but retail on it is 350 bucks w/o signing a contract. so that means it'd cost me 150 bucks for the E815 w/o getting into another contract. My current plan ends in Aug 2006 at which time i'll get a new 2 yr contract and the 100 credit towards a phone... so by waiting and not returning my phone[which i have no problems with thus far other than the sh...

settlement

Question for you guys....I work for a Verizon Wireless Authorized Agent and bought this phone at retail price when it came out. I then did an esn change on my plan and was using it for quite a while, I'm now onto the LG VX8100....

I received info in the mail about the settlement, but I'm not really sure if I qualify or not. My V710 is kinda beat up now too, so let me know what you all think.

When are the V710 settlement claims available?

I called Verizon today and the customer service rep. new nothing of the settlement. Is this just ignorance or is the claim yet to be made public?

When does this take effect?

Thanks,
Ed
