What is this about paying attorney fees?

I read this and it got me nervous
"you may still object to the settlement or the request for attorneys fees and expenses by objecting in writing to the Los Angeles Superior Court, Department 24, 111 N. Hill Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012. "

Does this mean if we choose to be a part of the class action suit we may have to pay attorney fees???

You know, I find it strange...

I find it strange that Verizon still has _NOT_ sent me any information regarding this suit.

Can someone verify for me that I am in this class? I purchased a vx4400 and a 2 year contract with Verizon in October 2003 when August came around I quickly snatched up the v710 on release day for out of contract prices with tax for $450.

When I read the claim form in Section A2 it says "I activated Verizon Wireless Cellular Service for a Motorola V710 cellular telephone on or before January 31, 2005", however I already had my service I just switched over to the v710.

If this excludes me from the suit I will be very displeased.

Well if refund is by February and no new good phones come out. I might go with the new 9800 But its

But that phone is $400. Not even our refund covers that. The v710 was $320 for me but minus the $100 every 2 year. so $220. I would hope that they include the New every 2 so I can get the 9800 for $80 1 year contract..

Alltel Bluetooth-Flips-V710 or Nokia 6225i-Which One

Wow-I was one day away from buying the V710 at alltel until I saw this forum with all the complaints regarding Charging connection issues.

Alltel has a very limited selection for flip Bluetooth-

Are the V710's they are shipping today still the ones with the charger connection problem?

If so, I guess I should buy the Nokia.

Please advise.

Settlement question? Replacing with E815?

Hi. I know these questions have probably been answered many times, but I'm really confused at all the forum conversations. So I'd really appreciate anyone who helps me.

I didn't look at this site for a long time, so I have no idea what the deal is with the v710 settlement. I bought my phone from costco in June (2005). I am upset at the camera quality and bluetooth stuff. Am I eligible for a settlement with verizon? Will I get paid back in full (even if I got a $50 rebate- so the price was $90 in the end)? What are the terms for the settlement? If I'm not eligible, is there any way I can get my phone replaced with an E815 for free? Perhaps I can call verizon or motorolla and say this phone is giving me problems and I want the E815 in repla...

Settlement questions

Hi all, havent been to this forum since this phone was first being released..been awhile 🙂

Anyways, Im considering sending in my settlement so I can upgrade to the RAZR which is supposed to hit shelves in the next couple weeks...but now Im hearing that we wont get credited/refunded until the settlement ends which is in january or february.

With that being said, we will have to shell out the money for a new phone now (unless we keep this phone until jan/feb ... then when we get credited the money, it wont really do us anygood. I suppose it would be nice to pay a few months phone bills with the credit but that is kind of boring.

Have alot of you sent your agreement in already? I also have tons of accessories (extended battery, tran...

Settlement Options

I have a question about the settlement. In option C, it states you are allowed to return your phone for a full refund. Do you just a credit for this and return you phone and things keep on going as normal contract wise, like you still have the same contact and same date when the contract ends. Or by choosing this option, do you have to sign a new contract with them. For my plan we have the NE2 family share with two additional lines and the primary line is the v710 that I want to have refunded. How will all this work?

How do I know if I'm part of the litigation settlement???

I downloaded the claim form, filled it out and mailed it in to Verizon. Does this automatically make me a recipient? My phone was purchased from Radio Shack when the first came out.
Thanks for your help.

V710 SETTLEMENT

Has anyone heard back from the settlement "administrator"? If you decided to return your equipment for a "replacement" does this mean that you will be reimbursed for the total cost of purchase (i.e.: $250). When and how will the funds be disbursed?

Car kit and the "pause" command

I'm using the v710 in a new Audi A6 equipped with the Audi phone cradle. Phone book transferred perfectly, except for the pause or wait command.
To access voicemail in Verizon it's *86pXXXX. When the phone transfers the number to the car the pause code doesn't transfer.

Anybody know how to insert a pause into a car-dialed number? Anybody know what code or command is issued when the phone hits the pause digit? I've asked Audi about it and they're looking into it but this community seems far more informed....

V710 questions - coming from VX4400B

I'm tiring of my VX4400B, and am also frustrated with it's lack of ability to place a call in fringe areas. There are many times that I am forced to wait to place a call because I know in several minutes, the call will just get dropped. It also has a hard time letting go of a weak tower in favor of a stronger tower. When the call finally drops, my signal strength goes to full max. It annoys the heck out of me, because if it just did a better job of switching towers, I wouldn't lose the call. I'm an electrical contractor, and it's tough to conduct business when this happens. Anyway, for some reason, I think the V710 will be the answer. I'd like to try out BT headsets, have a few MP3 ringtones for specific callers, and want the tri-mode. Hopef...

Dear Mr Moto...goodbye

Dear Motorola,

I am extremely disappointed with the sound quality of your v710 phone. As a user of a motorola 270c for the past 2/12 years I expected very high quality. I looked forward to stepping up to a phone with so many features as this one: great internal screen, bluetooth, mp3, voice dial, etc

There are many things I can quibble with, such as the flimsy design of your keypad, the inability to use the speakerphone with the case closed, or the really tacky looking external screen. I would keep the phone if those were my issues. But the sound quality is amongst the most tinny distorted sound I've heard in 12 years of owning a variety of cell phones.

THe poor sound comes through the handset earpiece, the speakerphone and the ...

Deciding between V710 and E815

I need to get a new phone with Verizon. The E815 is $100 while the V710 is $70. However, they throw in a JBT150 bluetooth headset and a 16 MB transflash card with the v710. How much worse is the v710 than the e815. I basically care about reception/overall quality, bluetooth quality, camera, using mp3s as ringers, and size/weight. Also, I like to use vibrate a lot so a good vibrate mode is important too. Thanks for the help.
