Audiovox CDM-9900

I haven't seen anything on this phone that shows that it is capable of Ringer ID??? IS this true??? That would really suck if its true.

Two Questions...
1) Any idea when *realistically* Vzw will be getting a camera phone with speakerphone
2) anyone know a store that will get rid of the 8900s annoying banner in Detroit? i was screwed into returning my fixed one (got it fixed in a different state)...

I work at a verizon store and I noticed today that we got several accessories for the 9900 in. I havent heard of any type of release date so take this imformation as you will.

i dunno about what anyone else thinks, but this keypad looks plain old ugly and out of date...

I recieved something with last months bill that said vzw has a class action lawsuit against Asurion phone insurance, anyone know anything about it. It said you have to send in proof of an insurance claim from the last like 2 years to be included in the suit.

u really werent that thrilled w 9900? What about the 710 or 670? Which will b best?

Does anybody know if I would be able to download mp3's from my computer onto the cdm-9900 as a ringtone like for instance people with the nextel i730 can???

If you go to ringster.com provider-verizon, AUDIOVOX 9900 is one of the choices`s, is that a good sign?

Thanks for the pictures. I look forward to seeing this phone next month, as well as the system to support it. I am up for contract renewal in November, which should allow me the $100 allowance towards a new phone as early as September. The June time frame gives me 2 - 2 1/2 months to see the initial reviews of this Audiovox CDM-9900. 🙂

Does anyone know anything about verizon and them developing a video calling phones or service? I read some articles today about 3G phones now being available to make video calling and I wanted to know if Verizon had planned to be a year behind everything as they usually are

Why is the battery for the 9900 already for sale but not the phone itself? One other question... is the camera going to be higher resolution than the 8900? I know it will do video and have a flash but is the resolution the same?

Anyone even take a look at the 8100? It looks like a sweet phone really diffrent with the color and all my sister was wandering when it comes out she wants it.

I just read a post on the Motorola V710 thread that the release of the 710 has been pushed back to July (no definite date!). That was my first choice for a new phone - DARN!! If I just knew that the 9900 was coming out soon.... Other than the bluetooth and the megapixel resolution, it does seem like the 9900 has most of the features I was looking for. Any ideas on how long I need to wait? My phone is an old LG TM510 and the hinge is broken - I am WAY overdue for a new phone!!!

Well looks like we were all side swiped... the next vzw phone to be released is the LG 3200 on May 7. I spoke to a friend today and he told me unk date on 9900, a month or so on the v710 and "who knows" on the v810. Definite next release is 3200 on the 7th.

I noticed that the phone has a lock on it .. By that i mean were the flip part of the of the phone has one of those things that click in and wont let it move around freely. I think this is the fist like this ( all of the sanyo phones have it)
