😁 The phone will do really well in the market. The standbyr time on the phone is really about 2 days. The display on this machine will blow you out of the water. I love the way Audiovox finally made a phone with the soft key pad! Well, you will see the pics of the phone, they almost look like a digital camera!, and it is not even a mega-pixel camera! The menu takes a little while to get used to it, other than that I will say it again

10 out of 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again like i sad the ev-do is not yet available so i cannot comment on the Video Messaging. I talked to Audiovox and we are near the end of the demo of the Phone, which means that time will tell that the phone will be out soon.
Thats all for 2day
Bye 😎

I was unaware that this phone even had ev-do capabilities and if not, why are you waiting for it to test this phones video messaging? lets hear about the phones video without ev-do, I would assume it should work either way. Lets hear about talk time, speaker/ringer quality, and the problems with the screen/phone overheating. And no megapixel camera. So far without hearing about anything else, all that I am hearing is that it has a nice big screen, lets remember, first and foremost its a phone and that once the novelty of the screen wears off that is what we are left with.

Does no one else find this shocking? 2 days of standby is like 48 hours, vs. an hinted at 380 hours. I can understand a little variation, but 15% of suggested standby time?

I was hoping this would be the phone for me, but if this 2 days thing is real world, it isn't.

I'd go for the LG-4600 if it were tri-mode, but it isn't. I'm not that interested in the camera, but if it gets me a state-o-the-art phone that doesn't suck...

Well sport, if you're an existing Verizon customer, you ain't buyin' a 4600 from Verizon. Can you believe it????!!! They actually refuse to sell it to existing customers. Part of their thanks for staying loyal, I guess.

Yea, thats completely worthless. I think its because it might start in the $100 range, and existing customers can use their NE2 $100 towards it to get a brand new phone on the market for free. Thats the only think i can see their logic for it. Other than that, they are loosing $.

Buddy, I'm not a Verizon customer right now, but if your attitude toward Verizon is anything like that which you exude in your response, I'm not surprised that they won't sell you a 4600. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar....

I was asking about the dismal real-world standby performance of the 9900, and instead I get a few rather useless words about the 4600's availability.

I bet if you wait a month or two, the 4600 will be available for even the masses who are already Verizon customers. They are likely just reserving what little supply they have for new customers to encourage them to join.

I see the CDM8900 is all but free now that the 9900 is right around the corner.
