BlackBerry Pearl 8100

I was just wondering if anyone new where or when is there gona be any new themes for the blackberry pearl for tmobile.

I'm tired of reading through all these threads from people that are having trouble with features on their blackberry. If you're not going to pay the extra money monthly for the data package for the blackberry (any Blackberry...not just the Pearl) Then don't buy the blackberry. Most features that access the network on a Blackberry REQUIRE the data plan ie: MMS, all IM, E-Mail, any type of internet browsing, T-Zones or Full Web. The only reason T-Zones is an option to use in the device is because it has quick links to basic account information, and you can customize your own links as well (instead of using the browser to go to Hollywood.com to check movies times you can pre set specific theaters trough T-Zones) Now this may seem to some people...

I just got my Blackberry Pearl yesterday, and I was looking through the menu and there is no Browser choice. On the walkthrough CD and even instructions included in the box, it says there is a browser option, but its not on my menu. Am I doing something wrong?

Also, When I try to set up my email, there is supposed to be 3 options to choose: Set up my own or create a new, Use a work email with enterprise server, and skip email setup. I have a problem since there is no use personal email or create new email option. Is that another problem?

I have T-mobile T-zones internet, just so everyone can use that as a reference.

I just got a new contract, with a new phone in August. now I want the pearl!! What can I do so I don't have to pay so much money?

Is there any way of transporting my address book, with pictures, to my blackberry pearl thru ISync with my apple intel black macbook?

I'm having some trouble importing my phone numbers from my Mac's address book to my Pearl. Pocket Blackberry for Mac doesn't support the Pearl yet. Any ideas? Thanks!

😕 I have a lovely photo of my new grandchild on the display of my phone, but want to move the icons all to one side so I can see him. I cant figure it out and no one at the store can show me either. Is there anyone who can help me?

I was trying to decide which phone to get....the Pearl or the 8700 with the full QWERTY keyboard. I had friends who had both so I tinkered with each of them. The second I put the Pearl in my hand I knew I was going to pick this phone.

First of all, they keyboard is "almost" as easy to use as a full keyboard. That was my main concern going in. The SureType function makes it just about as easy as a full keyboard. The only time it's not is when you are using an acroynm or industry specific abbreviation. However, it will "remember" it for future use.

The little white trackball is MUCH easier to use than the little "infamous" traditional Blackberry side wheel...IMHO. The phone is a lot easier to use with one hand because of that an...

Does anyone know how to set up your inboxes so that all SMS messages go to one dedicated inbox, and all Emails to another dedicated inbox? I currently have 2 inboxes and SMS messages and Emails are coming into both...help. Thanks.

Help please. I had a BB pearl and somehow I got the track ball to flash different colors when the phone rang. We have another BB now and I don't know how to get that setting. Anyone know how to make it flash different colors please give me instructions, I have checked to instruction manual and found nothing, PLEASE HELP! thanks 🙂

Is there anyway to change the blinking green light to the red or blue even? Useless I know, but it would just be more pleasing to see than the green.

Thoughts on Pearl vs Blackjack? My needs in order are: good phone reception/ volume (I'm located in hilly Pittsburgh), easy web browsing, ease of E-mail use (Yahoo Plus user), ease of reading Microsoft Office attachments. I really like the size of the Pearl but the Blackjack is nice too.

Thanks in advance for your help. Well, everything I hear and now read is that the Pearl is a much better pda/phone overall over the Treo 650. So, I'm ready to make the switch, but I wanted to know that since I use my Treo memo pad A LOT would I

1. be able to transfer my notes to the Pearl and

2. be able to take and keep new notes organized just as easily on the Pearl?

Today in the store(I work at a cingular retail store) with a blackjack in one hand and the e62 in the otherand i loaded www.cnn.com and repeated this simple test with the pearl and to every ones surprise the quicker one was an edge device(the e62) not the blackjack,
this was the icing on the cake that agian NOKIA is the better PDA for internet and data use the Blackjack might be"3G" or have a camera or PTT but this seems to be the best PDA cingular sells at this point compairing the symbian OS to the WindowsMobile5 (smartphone edition) is like compairing windowsXP to Mac OS X,, and sorry BB I just can't seem to get the hang of that confounded "suretype" keyboard!!!

I just switched form the 8700 to the Pearl - why, I don't know, just like wasting money! Actually, the Pearl seems to function better as a phone which is important to me. But I digress.

With the 8700, I was able to delete multiple messages at once by holding the NUM key and scrolling down to select the messages I wanted to delete. How do you do this with the Pearl? I hope there is an answer as I have way too many emails.

I am also having trouble connecting to the Internet - I have the unlimited data plan, so there should be no issue. And by the way, they have a new data plan out -- it's $39.99 unlimited datat plus 1000 text messages. I was payinh $44.99 with no text messages until yesterday - Just and FYI...

whenever i try to access a website with a video or an audio it would say that you either have java turned off or you need the latest flash player. i have checked that the java is on but it doesnt work. can someone please help?

Does the navigation ball light up in multi-color like the Sdiekicks when it rings?
Is it easy the manuever the navigation ball through the menu options?

i've had my pearl for over a month. last week the screen went white and there's been an hour glass going up and down ever since (until it runs out of batteries)

i called tech support and they had me try and reload the applications using the software. every time i double clicked application loader on the desktop manager it went to "not responding..." the tech support guy told me to download the handset software online but i had to do it later because, alas, the bb is my modem...

so i download the device software onto someone else's computer and it crashed their computer (not responding, froze, etc)

i tried on another computer and it did what my computer did...
