BlackBerry Pearl 8100

Gave my friend an unlocked pearl so he is using it for cingular, anyone have a link or know how to make the internet service work?

which is the card I have. ☹️ Anyone care to speculate if a future system upgrade will add support for 2gb cards? Or, should I just go ahead and buy 1gb?

Just got my Pearl today and i have some questions on the different plans. Right now im on the plan that is 39.99 for 1000 minutes and also added on is 14.99 for unlimited text messaging and 6.99 for unlimited mobile to mobile. My question is i pay around 62 dollars for my plan a month. I want to take advantage of the email side of the blackberry so i was wondering which blackberry plan i should get. Also, does the blackberry plan include unlimited text messaging. I guess i just need to know what services i need to add on to take advantage of the email for blackberry and also unlimited text messaging. Thanks for your help 🙂

the only thing holding me back is that i'm hearing rumblings of poor sound quality. is this true?
i'm not a big texter. i will be using this for my business and really need a crisp and clear sounding phone.

Can I view powerpoint slide shows on the Pearl? If not are there any programs that I can download?

My boss just got a Pearl, but his gripe is all the thick leather cases make it as big as a Treo again.

Does anyone know of a thin plastic sleeve for the phone that would make it pocketable?

So I am seeing that there are applications for BB ready excel sheets and various applications. I just dont want to spend $30 on then not knowing exactly how they work and if the are simiar to actual Micro Excel. Does anyone know of any free blackberry application sites ?

which one do you think is better for me.. i text alot.. i call alot. mp3 is a must and i like a good camera... i really like the pearl...but i don;t know about the keyboard.. is it still fast like the full text board? idk.. which one to get? which one people.. give me your opinion..!

My powerbook will not let me browse the device at all..I have to send each and every picture individually from the pearl...Help!!
It sucks to do this! I have a 1gig card with hundreds of pics from when my daughter was born. Since the max os wont recognize the device as a storage device when connected via USB I need to transfer via bluetooth...

I have the UConnect (bluetooth) in my Jeep and it worked great with my 8700. With my Pearl, it will connect and dis-connect randomly.

Is anyone having or has anyone had the same problem? How did you fix it?

I am able to send files via bluetooth from my pearl to my mac book pro just fine. However i cannot send a file from my mac book pro to my pearl. OS X says that my BB doesn't have the necessary services. Doesn't the pearl have OBEX? Any ideas?

Can you be connected to all the messengers(yahoo,msn, aol) at the same time like on the SK3?

Does anyone know ware to change the Gateway IP option on the New blackberry pearl?

I would like to use T-Mobile web on the Pearl but can't find the place to change the setting that i found on: http://www.gruups.com/tzones/

I found the TCP settings in my advanced options but no Gateway IP option.

If anyone has done it please let the rest of us that are over paying $20 a month know what to do!

I'm on the smart access plan with T-Mobile, and I can't add the Blackberry plan to it. Can I do a little tweaking (like I did with my SDA) to get the internet and email set up? Or the only way it'll work is with the the full plan? I need to know before I buy, I would appreciate a response. Thank you.
