I just switched form the 8700 to the Pearl - why, I don't know, just like wasting money! Actually, the Pearl seems to function better as a phone which is important to me. But I digress.

With the 8700, I was able to delete multiple messages at once by holding the NUM key and scrolling down to select the messages I wanted to delete. How do you do this with the Pearl? I hope there is an answer as I have way too many emails.

I am also having trouble connecting to the Internet - I have the unlimited data plan, so there should be no issue. And by the way, they have a new data plan out -- it's $39.99 unlimited datat plus 1000 text messages. I was payinh $44.99 with no text messages until yesterday - Just and FYI...

To select multiple emails/msgs, hold down the "#" key which is also the shift key and scroll up or down. If you would like to delete the entire day of messages, you can also highlight the date, press "menu" to the left of the trackball and choose "Delete Prior".

As for your internet, I can't help you. Actually, have you had the phone for more than 24 hours? If you haven't, you may want to wait. It took about 24 hours for BlackBerry to register my phone.

I too used the 8700 for about a month and then switched to the pearl about three weeks ago. I don't regret it for a second.
