VZW appears greedy and not in touch with customer needs.

I have a Treo650 with VZW. I can take photos and videos. I can email the photos from the phone but I have to use MMS which VZW charges me to use. Oh, I forgot to mention that I pay VZW $45.00 a month for unlimited data plan so I can use the phone to access the web and process email. Now you would think the $45.00 was enough for VZW but as I mentioned in order to send photos I have to use MMS and pay additional fees. MMS and SMS do not support video so I have no option for sending my videos from my Treo650. According to Palm’s customer service, VZW has locked out my option to attach files to my emails. I could send photos and videos to whomever I wish if I could attach the files to emails but VZW has locked that feature. Palm says the...

6700 or treo 650

Whats up everyone,

jus curious what everyone thinks about the 650 or the 6700 I work for Telus in Canada and I am trying to choose which one to pick. I am leaning towards the 6700 due to the WiFi and EVDO when it comes to my province. One thing I am wanting is t turn my mp3s into ringtones with my mini SD. If anyone could tell me if they both have this feature or if I have to download the apps to enable this please let me know. Id apperciate any help.

Info on Treo 680

I really appreciate any help you can offer.

I am interested in the treo 680. (mainly due to a smaller sized PDA that runs with Palm software which I am used to).
Currently I am a (happy) verizon customer and I'm wondering if Palm will have a version of this phone that works on a CDMA network. And will I have to wait another year or so.

Otherwise what do you think about switching to Cingular service and getting it through them. I live and use my phone mainly in NYC. Is cingular reliable there?

Thanks alot for any help!
Alexander.

Treo Crash problem

Hey guys,
I need some help and hoping you can help me.

I have a Treo 600 that started rebooting about 8 hours ago. Pressing the reset button on the back does nothing, it just keeps going to the logo screen, then off, then logo screen, then off, and so on.

I haven't synced my phone in months so I am hoping you all can help me find a way to break it out of this cycle.

It started while I was online using the AOL IM app (which has been known to crash before).

Help save my phone and my data!

Thanks in advance.

Kyocera Question

I've got a question for you guys. Does anyone know if I can call Kyocera directly to find out if we can re-activate some of the features that USCC deactivated when they sold us this 7135? My husband loves his PDA, and hates carrying extra equipment, but USCC turned off the wireless capability of the device and didn't put brew on it for easy edge access. I was just wondering if there was any way, now that the contract is almost complete, to get features back.

Contacts / Sorting Issue

Does any one know how to get the contacts look-up screen to retrieve contacts in a Treo 650 by "COMPANY" name? I've got it to sort by "Company" name but when I type in letters it only goes by "individual" names. I have 4000 contacts, all by company name and am having a heck of a time finding anyone! Of course these 4000 are all listed in separate catagories. My old Kyocera Smartphone w/Palm OS worked fine. Can any one help? 😲

FranklinCovey software

Greetings All,
Finally decided to get a cell/PDA combo and wanted to know if anyone can recommend which platform to buy that I can synch with Franklin Covey desktop software?? Doesn't have to be a PDA with Palm OS, just not sure what else would work with Franklin Covey Plan Plus, or is recommended?
Thanks for any comments 🙂

Verizon Treo 700p - Messaging alert

Hi everyone. I just picked up my treo 700p for verizon this past weekend. Love it!! I had the 650 a year ago with Cingular so I'm pretty familiar with the new unit and have had palm since the pilot 3.

My question deals with Messaging.

Seems whenever I send out a txt message, a few seconds later the phone plays the messaging alert to let me know the txt went through. Kinda annoying cause I think I'm getting an incoming message when I'm not. Does anyone know how to disable this or has this happened to anyone else?? I've looked at the preferences as well as sound prefs and nothing on it. Is it supposed to do that?? Anyone know what i'm talking about?? Please let me know. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks.

Exchange Activesync Schedule

This is for a Cingular Treo 650 Versamail v3.1.

I have set a schedule for Exchange Activesync to sync every ten minutes. For some reason, it syncs on this schedule once or twice, then is set back to manual, with no error messages.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Treo 650 CDMA How to activate

I am a Canadian living in Indonesia. I just bought (and haven't yet received) a Treo 650 CDMA phone off EBay.

Here in Indonesia both CDMA and GSM phones (I own a Treo 600) use a SIM card to activate thye phone.

My question is - how are the CDMA phones in the States and Canada activated? Can I buy a CDMA SIM card here in Indonesia and use the Treo 650 CDMA or is the phone locked to a certain service in USA/Canada?

Can I use the CDMA Treo 650 in Indonesia?
