Treo 650 and BMW

Need some help....

I was all set to buy the Verizon E815 phone until i saw the Treo 650 in the store today.

Has anyone out there sucessfully paired this phone with an 05 BMW X5.

I've looked thru the X5 world forums and can't get enough data from the posts to determine yes or no.

Questions on T650 and sx66

Okay, I've looked at tones of posts on this, but I need some specific answers from folks that have experience using these phones.

I am a sprint user and my contract is up on Aug 25. I want to switch to cingular and I am considering both the 650 and the sx66. I really want wifi as I don't want to have to spend 40/month, but I just don't know. Here's what I like and how much it matters to me.

form factor and one hand use 7
large amount of apps 6
good keyboard 4
size 5
ringer on/off switch 4

wifi 9
more features 6
more memory 3

Basicly the only thing keeping me from the treo is a good wifi solution (won't use hacks). I really like the windows system better, but palm has more apps and the treo form factor rocks!

Wireless Email for Treo 600

I have a Treo 600 with Sprint PCS Vision to access web & email. I used to have Visto to access my emails - which I absolutely LOVED. Unfortunately, Visto no longer provides wireless email - so I desperately need another solution. I tried Business Connections through Sprint - and hated it. Please help!

What the heck is Cingular doing?!

I purchased the 650 two weeks ago and love everything about it except that my corporate IT department won't support a corporate (server based) email connection for it. They will support the 600.

I might add that when I bought the 650 it was off contract and no mention of a data plan was made.

So, really needing a small device that can get me into corporate email is very important to me and I went Saturday and again last night to buy a 600. Mind you I've purchased numerous phones this year and last from Cingular without a contract and without having to sign up for data plans. And yes, that includes pda/smart phones.

The total tools at Cingular refused to sell me the phone without a data plan. They actually had the audacity to yel...

Anyone use a Treo 600/650 as a GPS with mapping capability?

I have a Sprint Treo 600, but I'm thinking of going GSM with T Mobile (I travel the world at least 1-2 times a year). Coincidently, my old Garmin boat GPS died, and I'm trying to find out about using the Treo with an available GPS unit.

I've found a few hardware GPS add-on units on the web. I've also found some software for streets and for boats, but have never talked with someone who actually used this system...I'd sure like to.

The boat use would be very seldom, so I don't want to spend big bucks on a stand-alone unit, even though the display would be bigger. I found a marine mapping GPS software for Palm OS with free maps once you buy the initial software for $180.

Athough I've never used a street GPS, it may be fun to have. I...

Treo 650, uploading images > 300K?

I just got a Treo 650..& want to put an SD card (filled with images taken on my digital camera) in the SD slot, & upload the images to my website.

Apparently, I can do that with the email function..just attach an image. Except there's a catch..there's a 300K limit on the message length! (Anyone know of any way to get around it?) I have a 5Mpixel digital camera, so this obviously won't do.

Other Options:

I tried a photo-website Flickr.com, which allows one to upload images by "browsing for an image on your computer". It works from my desktop PC (or Mac), but the functions don't seem to be enabled for the Treo 650's browser (Blazer).

Is this intentional..Blazer doesn't allow browser-based uploads?

[ i suppose this makes sen...

Please Sign This Petition for Sprint to Release the SPH-i550

A petition has been started to ask Sprint PCS to release the long-awaited Samsung SPH-i550 Palm OS phone, or failing that to at least continue to offer new compact clamshell Palm phones and keep the SPH-i500 for sale until a suitable replacement is available. If you are a SPH-i500 owner or a fan of small clamshell Palm phones you need to sign this petition. You can’t complain you’re not being offered what you want if you don’t make your wants known! Palm 1 vs Motorola V710

Im in the process of researching the Palm 1(600 treo) through Verizion Wireless...I am also considering the Motorola v710. Im leaning towards the Palm, however never owning one leaves me with a lot of questions in regards to downloading/how user friendly it is. Any one have good or bad thoughts on either?

Should I wait for Verizon's Treo?

Hi-I'm a current Verizon customer and have been for several years. Prior to Verizon, I'd tried Sprint, ATT, and Cingular. I've stuck with Verizon because I found it to have the most reliable network, both at home in Los Angeles and when I'm (frequently) on the road, often to remote places. I also frequently make use of VW's high speed data service, using my Motorola 720 as a modern.

I'm quite pleased with VZW , and was often disappointed with the coverage and call quality of the GSM services I tried. However, that was a few years ago, and now, though my basic service needs are the same, I lust(!!!) after a Treo.

My question: have the rival services matched VZW on service, quality, and coverage? If I went with one of the alt...

I-600 Samsung

My Samsung I-300 quit working, so I bought the I-600, which uses Microsoft Mobile instead of Palm. They have a long way to go to work all the bugs out and be as reliable as the Palm. No notes to sync (Phatnotes downloaded but many bugs), no distinctive rings etc. etc. Anybody know of a Verizon smartphone using Palm??
