Palm OS

Does anyone know if Motorola has any plans to introduce a Palm OS enabled Q? Love the Q form factor, hate Windows Mobile!

I just received a Treo 680

After checking out various specs on the web at either Cingular or Palm, I am still confused as to which type of SD card is required?

A regular SD card?
A mini SD card?

Or what?

If you know CDMA EFS really well or are a great embedded systems developer with experience in the cell industry...

i just got this software, but can't seem to find any ROMS for it. anyone else use it? where'd you get your ROMS?

I currently have the 650 and it has been acting a bit crazy for the last couple months. I am eligible for an upgrade but am unsure of what to do. I hear the 700WX is the way to go but I wonder if there is anyone out there who has one already that can answer a couple Q's for me? Here we go...

1) Have they improved the bluetooth at all on this model? Is there still a 3 second delay for call transfer unless you use the "wakeup" feature on your earpiece?
2) I obviously am using the Palm OS right now, is the OS in this model stable? What are the major differences from Palm to Windows on this model?
3) I am a mortgage professional and I use software on my phone right now that serves as a loan tracker and calculator, is there a version for win...

SOme websites call Treos "Smartphones", while others call them "Pocket PC's". Which are they?

I'm wanting an app that i can load onto my treo 700p and use it to work with AOL IM, MSN Messenger, or Yahoo IM... i also want it to push thru my new messages like it does on my pc... is there such software for the 700p?

I have had a Treo 650 with Cingular for over a year and love the unit. Just recently upgraded to the 680 and other than the lousy battery and occaisinal freeze ups, I like it also, but am wondering about returning this and changing to the Windows platform with the 750.
I currently have over 1400 contacts and need to know if Windows does as good of a job organizing them as Palm does. Can anyone give advice on the overall pros and cons?

Hmmm.... I think I am going to post this on every board I can find so that as many people see this and choose another type of phone.

So here's my problem...

I have a Verizon Treo 650 which I have been using for about a year and a half.
Prior to that I used a Treo 600... and before that a Palm 7135 Kyocera.
So I am not a newbie to Palm.

Today I attempted to do the firmware upgrade to Verizon 1.05a... big mistake!!!
Phone looped into a E911 upgrade failure although I followed the instructions to the tee on the Palm website.

After about 2-3 hours of attempting to reboot, reflash, or whatever I could I finally called Verizon who gave me to Palm tech support. Tech support worked with me for almost an hour attempting everything to r...

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a website that lists the different 5-digit phone numbers to access from our SMS modes?

I realize it may be different from each provider, but Verizon didn't have any information.

The only ones I know of are Yahoo's 92466 and the ones on TV to "vote" for your favorite American Idol, or such.

Any help would be appreciated.

I just order a treo 750 from a sdistributor to see if this unit works properly in Puerto Rico I ask to them if is going to work here, I expect to reseve the treo in a few days unlocked from vodafone, now my ? Is I have suncom wireless as carrier few days ago I have in my hand a treo 650 unlocked cingular version and works good but the data feature as email or web browser din't work well, nothings happens I call customer service they told me that if the cell phone is unlocked but is from a carrier is not going to work, I ask why they don't know that, my ? Is it is the data goig to work from my carrier to this unit? Please contact me by this message or via email thanks for everything that can anyone do for me!

What's the limit on SD cards for Treos?

I was wondering if anyone here knew of a way to sync hotmail adresses on a treo650... other than going on the hotmail website and logging on every time. I mean, there has to be a way to do it through versamail right? Or is there a way to redirect all the emails from an hotmail account to an outlook account or something so that it can be synced with the PDA?
