Cust: I dont know. The one where you talk into it.

(note: its a Cingular account)
Me: Thats another wireless company, not a brand of phone.
Cust: Oh, then it was a samsung-motorola.
Me: is it a samsung or a motorola?
Cust: yeah.
Me: Yes its a samsung or yes its a motorola?
Cust: oh no, wait, that was my wifes phone. Mine was a nike-a, or nokio...

If you have a GSM phone and you hear static, there's something wrong with your phone or SIM card. It's usually the SIM card.
i would like to see also who they chose to publish reports from. i wonder if they asked what type of phone/tech/how old... i'm a cingular 'fan boy' for a reason and in the southeast, hands down cingular has everything up on verizon and t-mobile... but cunsomer reporst said different... you can very clearly see that coverage in the SE by cingular is better than both and with EVERYONE i deal with on a daily basis says cingular is better here... i think CR just doesn't like us!
***side note... also, static is caused in the reciever (assuming this can be in the headset or on the tower) but doesn't it apply analog? would the correct verbiage for digital be interference??? i'm sure someone in networking could clear that up...
