one final note on how to make it work
So i had a short scare. I went to my phone book and hit edit and went to assign a ringtone id and none of them showed up. To assign personal ringtones goto tunes and tones and goto my sounds. Then hit options and say set as contact id. Then select the person. So far this has worked for me.

to use the mp3 you have to have a transflash adapter or reader cant use usb cable. Once you got that plug it in and make a folder called MEDIA and put your songs in thier

Lovin this phone.... got Razr folks jealous thats for sure... For reference... if you think this is tough to mod this phone, don't try the razr v3m because my buddy got one and I spent hours w/ all types of software and couldnt get him any results w/o editing the p2k crap

so far, all our information shows that the plans and features will remain the same for the new sidekick. right now, you can add on the unlimited sidekick data (which comes with unlimited text messaging as well) for $20.00 onto a voice plan. the data only plan is $29.99 and comes with unlimited data and text messaging, and voice calls are pay as you go at .20/min.
note: the sidekick plans and features are not available on smart access account types.
at this time, we dont have any pricing info or if any discount will be offered to existing sidekick users. when the sidekick II came out, there was a special promo where you could order the SK II in advance at a slightly discounted rate... i'm not sure if they will do this again or not with the SK 3.

You all must have cheap no-name laptops or desktops (non-tier 1 equipment), I have a HP Pavilion zv5000, Acer 3200 Ferrari, Dell Precision A450 desktop. I have no problems with any of my computers charging my Q and I use the desktop charger and supplied USB cable. My battery was almost dead today, my Q giving me low battery alerts. Put it in the desktop charger and 2-3 hours later it is fully charged, full bars. The desktop charger does not come with a USB cable, or a AC charger adaptor. It is just an add-on to what comes with your boxed Motorola Q. I should also add that the desktop charger is passive, my Q charges the same via USB cable with or with out the desktop charger station.

Note: the appropriate mini-USB data cable (SKN6371) must be obtained separately

Yes, I put one of these on my 30gb iPod
and it really works. I have a Speck Toughskin on it, which was like wrapping a truck tire around a nice small slim device.
The Invisibleshield is nice because it gives the Q or iPod "armor plating".
Provided you dont drive over the device, or sit on it, your not going to scratch it or damage it.
The iPod and the Q are both smooth on backsides so they tend to slide around your car seat. The Invisishield gives it a little more traction on
non-leather seating. I would buy it again for the next device I buy that is expensive and scratch prone.
NOTE: take the battery out of your device before applying. And dont be afraid to use a few sprays worth of the spray stuff when putting the shield on. The wetter the better. More wet means less bubbles, less wet means bubble city. After about 2 days the shield dries out and looks great.
Again, I have it now on my ipod, and would buy it again, when I eventually get a Q.
