wi fi woes

I just bought an unlocked t-mobile sda. I am out of the states in Guam where we have no t mobile service. The phone works with our local GSM service fine but I cannot get wi fi to connect. It appears to connect but I.E. will not connect and I keep getting error messages. Does anyone know how to make this thing connect to any wifi network world wide??? I live in Vanuatu and want it to work there and Australia, etc.

Thanks

putting files on to the SDA

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me with installing jad and jar files on to the sda. I have tried to load them on and then open them but can't seem to find them in the folders I put them in. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Memory

What's the difference between "Storage Memory" and "Program Memory"? Is "program memory" just for the programs that are running?

Still In Love

Picked up the SDA a while ago and just wanted to say I'm still in love with it.

I recently lost my job and this phone was an invaluable tool because of it's calendar functions, the wifi so I could check email from potential employers and it's fantastic reception.

So glad I didn't trade it in for something less than useful.

It's still the bomb. Thank you HTC. 😁

Video capture

I'm researching this phone- may upgrade to this when I can upgrade phone in a month- how is the video on this phone? Ok? Great? And how long a clip? Just the 15 sec thing or as much as your memory will hold at the time?
Thanks
Also- can mp3 ring tones be assigned to individual contacts???

Case for SDA

Please help me find a case for the T-Mobile SDA. I've been searching online, but have not found what I'm looking for.

I'm looking for a case that is ideally all clear plastic in the front with perhaps a hole for the joystick nub. The keys need to be pressable through the clear plastic. Back should be leather or vinyl, preferably black. Prefer to have a swivel or ratcheting removale belt clip on the back. There should be holes for the camera and side buttons cut in the case.

Closest thing I've found so far is a cheapy case on amazon.com but it doesn't appear to have properly cut holes for the side buttons or joystick nub, nor a swivel belt clip: http://www.amazon.com/Leather-Case-Wrapped-Be lt-Clip/dp/B000HRUXM6/sr=8-5/qid=1159732...

Default web browser line

Is there any way to change the default web page from the T Mobile site to a site I actually use? I'm sure there is, I just can't seem to find it. Thanks!

coverage in northern CA?

I'm thinking of making the switch from Verizon to T-Mobile to be able to get this phone and better plan rates. I live in San Jose and occasionally need to drive to more remote No. CA locations for work. Any folks here with experience driving in Northern CA with this phone? How is coverage? I don't want to get stranded in a remote location with no phone service...

Thanks,

Maureen

Need help with T-Mobile Web

Per a thread on this forum, I added the $5.99 T-Mobile web service: I just selected the Razr as my phone on T-mobile's website, and I added it.

I'm having trouble accessing the service beyond the initial T-Mobile home page. When I'm at a Hotspot, I'm able to log in, but I can't access anything past that: no email, no internet, can't view my bill, etc. I've read T-Mobile's help files for setting up my connections and email, and I believe that I've followed them as written.

What's my next step? Customer Service? Will they just tell me that my SDA doesn't support this service?

Any help would be appreciated.

Bluetooth Problem - need help :(

Hi Guys,

I have no problem when I need to send a file to another bluethooth phone. But I cannot do it vice versa. It just fails with a message device did not respond. I then tried to send a file from my laptop and I get "OBEX File Push Profile" installed. What the heck is that? I don't know what I am doing wrong...Thanks in advance..

ICON order?

Is there a way to reorganize the order of the icons so I can put the most used icons on the initial start screen?
