OK, so I come back from lunch to find the store rather packed. I called for the next cust in line. When she gets to my register, she says her phone don't work...it won't hold charge. And that she NEEDS a phone, TODAY! I took a quick look at it, and let her know that the phone might have LIQUID DAMAGE, and to get it properly looked at by one of our techs tomorrow. **INSERT DRAMA SCENE** After many attempts, we couldn't help her out in any other way. So, of course she came at me with the always popular "I've been a SPRINT Cust for "X" yrs, I'VE ALWAYS paid my bills on time! and I WANT a FREE phone!!" 🤨 I checked to see if by some miracle she quaified for any discounts...she didn't. I had a customer yesterday come in, right away goes into telling me that she's here to get a 50.00 replacement phone because of warrenty issues. I look at her phone, it's being held together with electrical tape (you know, the black kind that doesn't really stick to anything other than wires) Anyhow, she's doing the whole 400.00 a month customer thing, and I tell her the SPLIT HINGE is not warrentyable. she goes into the broken record thing about having been told she can swap phones for 50.00, I'm bored so I figure I'll play a bit before getting a manager involved. Amen. Preach on to the choir. I love sh*t like this. I have been through the same thing before. I didn't get relieved for the day though. I stayed and waited for the guy to comeback with the equipment he said he was gonna shove down my throat and out of my Ars.
