Digital vs. Tri-Mode Verizon Wireless is migrating toward All-Digital handsets and will have no Tri-Mode handsets available in the future. All-Digital phones have a slight performance improvement over Tri-Mode equipment, according to our Network Performance Analysis reports. The VZW Network is CDMA Digital with some areas of PCS overlay. Areas that still support Analog are quickly disappearing.
