Re: INSURANCE - a crash course for your concerns and misconceptions

Great post..I am one of the "fortunate" who get to sell customer's their insurance...don't hate me  ...but I did have the pleasure of filing Replacements for a while...I did however want to clear up one thing. Since I process enrollments I do know for a fact that this insurance provider I work for does not enroll phones that have been replaced twice w/in 12 months EVEN if the contract is changed/an upgrade is done/or a new phone is purchased. If unsure you will want to contact your insurance provider (either one) and check their policy if you are purchasing expensive equipment or just want your insurance. On a side note...fraud is one of the reason's that 1. Premiums are raised 2. Deductibles are raised, and 3. We have to dig deep for information on every replacement. It may sound like we are hounding the customer but for the very reason that we KNOW there is fraud going on, we want to filter that out. If your claim is honest and you're not committing fraud then there is nothing to worry about. Be honest.

Re: Need MP3's as ringtones
by littledrummerboy    Feb 12, 2006, 10:39 AM
in the LG VX-8100 forum

This is false. Yes it turns off the MP3 player and teh capability of the phone to recognize MP3's, but if you look around the forums all you have to do is go into the programming menu of the phone and turn it back on. On a side note...the article referenced by the link....bad wording on Verizon's part...because the software flash doesn't "remove" anything. Secondly, if it did remove it, the mp3 player was one of the phones main marketing angles. Does the phrase false advertising or misrepresentation mean anything to you? Lol....if you are familiar with Verizon and their phone debacles in the past, do some research on the Motorola V710 and the bluetooth issues they had with that. Mainly because they said the phone was bluetooth, but failed to mention the profile was severly crippled. Alot of people with BMW's who bought that phone became real unhappy when they realized they couldn't sync their contacts with the system in the car. What it boils down to is you can turn the mp3 player back on if you want to, and the instructions are on several posts on this site. Also, just because the phone has vcast music, doesn't mean you have to use it. If you have a truck that's 4 wheel drive, it's like saying you have to use 4 wheel drive all the time. The cool thing about that is depending on the vehicle, you can either move the lever or push a button and turn it off. Moral is just because you have it doesn't mean you have to use it. Hope this helps!
