I am very frustrated with upgrades lately, maybe someone can help. I can not upgrade for 1yr anymore online and It is frustrating to call T-Mo everytime I want to know the price of the phone with 1yr, the best part is they all ask me "you know you can do this online right?" and i keep giving them the same answer.
Anyway i called like 2nights ago and the price of the Sams t309 was $79.99 for one year, I call today and it is temprorarily unavailable for 1yr contracts. Huh????why???? This happened back in the day for me with the E335, it can not be offered as an upgrade but I see it everyday that it is available for new customers online. its an outdated phone, if you have it why discriminate betweem customers, just sell it and get r...

I'm in the same boat as you are, most likely you can get a Samsung X495 for free. As a matter of fact, I stopped by the mall and one of the indirect at the booth said I could take home 4 Samsungs for free. I told him I'll pass.

All I want is something like the Sony Z520 (offered by Cingular) but I'm hesitate to switch, even my co-workers (with cheap LGs) get better signal at work when I have no bar at all(Nokia 3650).

I'll stay put for the time being and see what new phones will be coming in the next month or two.

Does anybody know if TM will ever offer something similar to Cingulars Ticker, I love that feature.

TIA

well nothing is guaranteed about the x495 or i just dont know what to tell the reps to give it to me for free.
As far as the new phones, T-mo is getting some very nice phones, which is great, but at very expensive prices. Its like 6 months ago every phone was basic, now everything is top of the line with a large sticker price.

I will never switch to Cingular cause I hate'em. So its either verizon or T-mo and I Like the GSM technology over CDMA.

If they ask you to up grade to Nokia's 6101 or 6102 please note the review section.

I have been a Nokia client since 1988 and have always been pleased with the quality, battery life and reception of their products

The functionality of the 6101 phone and the reception has been typical Nokia quality, however the construction quality of the 6101 phone is very poor. The case is chintzy has been a problem since I purchased it. The case is slippery to handle. I never found a decent case to purchase for a cover and had to improvise. I opened the case on a cold day and the corner cracked near the hinge, just opening the phone

I took the first one back as the keypad display was weak on the 5-6-2-3 side of the pad. T-mobile has a 14-day retur...

All wireless companies seem to be this way. They value the possible new customer over the existing, bill paying customer. Always saying that it's easier & cheaper to keep an existing customer, but the top management focus in on the sales process for the new customer. It would be interesting to see what would happen if a company truly put existing customers on equal footing with the potential new sales customer???

I agree, I think they should make all customers pay the same price, without a contract or anything to hold the customer obligated. Of course that would require the customer to pay more for the phones. From what I read in these forums that would be ok, RIGHT? The customer would rather pay $360.00 for a phone and not have a contract than get the phone for FREE and be obligated. RIGHT??? Isnt that what your saying? OH??? I am sorry !! I misunderstood.... You want the $360.00 phone for FREE and not be obligated to a contract? I see. Didnt your mother tell you that you can not have your cake and eat it to?? Maybe you should call her and see what she thinks, her generation understands value for dollar, todays generation wants it all NOW and they w...

What I don't get is why people go ape-sheet over a silly contract extension. If you like your carrier and know that you won't change carriers, then who cares if you are on a contract. I like T-Mobile and I have had them since 2003, and I will have them for many a years to come. I extended my contract by 2 years and they gave me the Nokia 3220 for free, which I love, AND I was only 8 months into my last contract renewal.

Oh and another thing people don't get: it is just a cell phone. That's it, plain and simple. This device is meant for communication, not entertainment.

CellularDude and Lefteye is so right and I am such an inconsiderate spoiled brat. RIGHT???? Are u slow, stupid or dumb? First of you are taking my comments and twisting the story around. I have no problems with contracts and I expect a contract in return of a contract. My problem is why some phones are available for one yr contract when others are not. especially outdated phones. Of course I do not want to pay $360 but who would. WOULd you? The phone is more than a communications device, it is an instrument for the wirelless companies to make money. Coca-Cola gives its refrrigerators for free to vendors, so that they will make more money from the vendor in the long run. Just like a phone, if you have a phone then u are going to talk,...
