how did u get those prices? what is Advance General? Cause the prices i get when i visit the store or call is compeletely different. For one thing X495 was $50 for me through the store, but they did tell me that if i called the 800 number they will give me a better price. V360 is $100 after $50 rebate. by the way thses are all one yr prices acause i hate 2yr contracts.

One of the issues T-mobile will have to address now is they have too many prices in the market place.

Some of these phones, (many) they should just give away, the Nokia 6101 and 02 for example.

When a company prostitutes it's products or services then where is the value? It is also very hard to restructure the pricing strategy.

They need to draw a line and give away the cheap phones and price the emerging technology products appropriately.

Nokia has cheapened most of its line with so many chintzy phones made for "who knows" that it has affected T-mobile's business model.

Hopefully both will realize their errors and come to grips with reality.

T-mobile should do well with the SDA and MDA

I have the impression that the closer you are to the end of contract, the cheaper the phones will be.

I remember her saying( when I called a month ago) " Oh it will be $XX by then".

The price I quoted in this thread was from a call I made couple of days ago.

those prices are only offered if:
1) you call customer care and are wanting a cancel service.
2) are NOT on smart access.
3) have at least 11 months on a plan of 39.99 per month or higher without any past due suspends.
4) can get the general customer service rep to transfer you to the retention department.

need to meet all 4 to get those prices offered.

on another note. prices on phones from a store are set by that store NOT by T-Mobile and can be different at different stores. direct stores give a discount based on tenure and rate plan cost. indirect store only care if you are past your current contract so they can get a commission for putting you on a new contract. calling in to do an upgrade from customer care or on t-mobile.com...

Prices for an Upgrade in a Direct Corporate store are set by T-mobile not the reps themselves. We look in Streamline just like you for pricing. I cant speak for the indirects though. I know they can do wahtever they want really.
