This is regarding protocol id used for LG phones in our country. At the moment free text is used by customers on our system and seems to be that the LG phones used a different protocol which
bypasses our prepaid not billing it. Would it be possible if anyone could give us a hint of protocols for LG phones.

I am looking for the page at fcc.gov that announces new phone releases so that I can keep very close tabs on the new iphone. I know there is a page for this here at phonescoop, but I am obsessive and to feed my hunger for more iphone information I must check about twice a day for new info.

If anyone has the link to the FCC page that would hold this information please share.

I see these options for P_rev_3 4 and ananlog but no automatic. There is also a force mode option above this, that gives you analog cdma and pcs options also. Also Any one know if these 13k QCELP ,8kbps EVRC settings actualy help?

hello. does anyone know how to transfer a CDMA phone from one carrier to another? my CDMA carrier has horrible phones, but I need to retain my number. Number portability is not possible. is there any online service/site that can help me?

Does anybody know how to make it so that you can create your own ringtones from quicktime or other files. I opened some of my fav songs from itunes in quicktime and trimmed the first 30 secs to be ringtone options and dropped them into the ringtone folder on my w810i when it was plugged into my comp. they are there but can not be set as ringtones or even played. I can do it for my older phone so I don't see why i shouldn't be able to do it for this newer one with better technology. Thanks for any help. J3N

Is there a machine? If so how would you use it?

on with wifi, bluetooth,WAP/web browser, everything? its obviously possable because some of them already come close; and don't say it would cost a lot more because i compared features on a whole bunch of them and to fill in the gaps wouldn't be that hard. so why cant we, or are we in the process or what?

I had been looking to possibly take over someone's CityFido Plan. I shopped around extensively, but couldn't believe some of the prices that people were asking for their plans.

They most definitely have lost their marbles. In any case, I must admit that I was pretty tempted until:

I came across a local company that offers unlimited outgoing cellular calls, providing you already have an unlimited incoming calls plan. So far the system works flawlessly.

I don't have to worry about using up the measly 100 minutes that Fido gives me.

All this for 10.00 a month. I hope these guys stick around for a while. It's almost too good to be true.

How come wireless companies lock customers with two year contract but only offer warranty on the phone for 1 year? I understand its manufacturer's warranty - they should be only allowed to offer a 1 year contract.

Two year contracts offer a win-win situation for these providers.

I saw advertised for sale a wifi card that is the mini size. Since I have a Nokia N73 which takes this size card, is it possible to get wifi with it installed? If not, does anyone know of any other way? Perhaps there is a bluetooth wifi device in development ....?

I may be looking for something that does not exist yet... but maybe y'all can help me out!

I'm currently using an ancient 3 year old sony ericsson T610 which, honestly, I totally love except that its starting to crap out a little and I'd like to upgrade. I love the OS on the sony as well as the UI and the SIZE is great.

My desired device would primarily serve as a phone and be form-fitting. That said, I am a bit of a tech junkie (think power user, but not someone who flashes their phone all the time with new stuff) and would like a phone that can cater to my nerd-ness. I really want something that browses the broadest range of sites. This would include (if possible) data input sites, including full java and "form" submitting function...

This topic has been brought up several times by myself and a few others in various sub forums and I thought that I'd make a petition so all of us who are like-minded could get together and tell the industry collectively that we'd like to see product development take a new direction.

What I'm referring to is camera delay on cell phones, especially now that autofocus is the new trend. On almost every single phone camera out there, it takes the camera a little while after you press the button to capture the image. On autofocus cameras, it can take a good second or more so it's almost impossible to get pictures of moving objects or people's memorable facial expressions.

I don't know about you but im getting tired of people asking about the iphone it hasn't even come out yet and people is asking about it.my thing is to wait for it to come out see some reviews on it and not the reviews that talk about the phone and how great it looks but reviews about it's service and the capabilities that it has being that it's running on edge not 3G and os not windows or how well the interface is to use on this phone. That's is what people should be asking.

When I try to log on to myspace on my Samsung A900 it says I need a handler to view this type of content and then transfers me to sprints general download page. What type of handler are they talking about? TIA
