i feel for the store reps

There is no way I can put up with customers crap face to face. And not just that but some are just dumb.

If you tell us where you work...

I just thought I would give a polite reminder to people that if you state where you work on here it's possible that you can be traced by your employers if you give insider information.
I was terminated from Lock/Line (albeit two years ago and three days before my two week notice was up) for posting insider tricks on how to get a phone replaced even if it may not be covered in the coverage certificate. Just thought I would give a fair warning 🙂

Give me the stupid people!

I'll take the stupid customers. I'll take the rude, crude, and through the roof retarded. Anything over what we experienced yesterday. Our store was held up at gunpoint. There's nothing worse than that. Days like these is what makes all of us store reps wish we were in call centers, and all you in call centers glad you're not in stores. This was insanely scary.

I don't Understand...Cuz I'm dumb...

Just got a call today from a lady who owed us $343.84. She said that she didn't understand how she could owe us that much since she just made a payment for $500. (She also had about $200 in adjustments) I looked at payment history and this was how the convo went:

M=me, C=Custie

M: ma'am, I do show that you made a payment for $500 on 10/20, however, I also show that the 2 payments you made before, one for $300 and one for $211.15 were returned to us for insufficient funds.

C: But When I made that payment, my balance was 0! How could I still owe you so much?

M: because it looks like your checks were returned for insufficient funds, so that $511.15 was never actually paid for.

C: So you're telling me that I really owed you ov...

Today's list of dumb

1. Guy brings in a car charger that's got the end ripped off. He wants it exchanged under warranty. WTF???? I explain to him that physical damage like that is not a warranty issue. He will need to purchase another charger. He flips out screaming that "for my $20, I was guarenteed to have a charger for a year.". I told him that his charger was only guarenteed to work for a year if he didn't damage it. He claimed it fell apart, but it was clearly ripped apart. He left cursing me. Well F*** you too buddy!

2. A guy comes in with a prepay phone that's broken in half. He starts by telling me that he didn't buy it from me, but he bought it from some guy about half hour away, but he still wants me to replace it....you guessed it...und...

Unlimited

Is there like some kind of status held when you can declare that you have "unlimited" minutes? I've had customers come in who are looking to port over, but want the unlimited minute plan -- yet they only use 300 minutes a month. This just happened again, and neither customer signed up!

Just got some new collateral in our store for the MotoKrzr...with a picture of the Motorola i880. (Company S) is advertising the crap out of the Krzr with a picture of a different phone which runs on a different network. Way to go!

The funniest looking SALESPEOPLE EVER...

Think about this, who is the funniest sales rep that works for your company?

My answer? There's this one dude named Wayne who works with me, and he has the biggest head I have ever seen. It must be the size of a Volkswagen.

And he's from Khazahkstan, so he's got this vicious ugly haircut and moustache.

What about you folks?

hot food

What is it about customers that they enjoy shopping only when the person assisting them is eating hot food?

without fail- i have no customers all day bored to tears wish i was dead--- until i get any kind of hot food. i think they're waiting behind the pillars until they know they can ruin my only meal of the day by waisting my time while it gets cold/soggy/etc. i think they enjoy irritating me with stupid questions more when they also know they are spoiling my meal. And they also love to come up and ask a question right as you take a bite- too late for you to back out of the bite so you have to wait and chew before you can answer creating an awkward silence which they must sadistically enjoy.

I work for a CELL PHONE COMPANY....

...Not a COMPUTER COMPANY!!!

Had a cust call in just now saying that she just got the new Fusic and she coulda sworn that she could DL music from her computer onto her phone. I told her that is absolutely true (I had the phone for about a month and actually did this quite a few times). I then asked her if she saw the little card that goes into the phone and the adapter for it that would go into the computer. Of course, she had no clue what i was talking about. after about 5 minutes of explanation, she finally figured out what I was talking about. She then asked, "ok, so, where does that card go in my computer?" 😳 I don't know!! I can tell you where it goes on MY computer...past that, I don't know! I don't know what kinda comp...

Need a keypad.. Help Please

Hey guys & gals (krickt)!!

I am in need of a black Motorola L6 keypad. I called Motorola and they said that I could not order one. And referred me to a type 2 cellular dealer. Which is a crock!!

So if you have one or know where I can get one... Please let me know.

I had this call a few days ago, and I still cannot believe this guy.

Okay so he calls in and starts immediately getting snotty with me, explaining that he has been calling for two days straight. (Yeah right. So he's been on the phone for 48 hours... no potty trips?)

The reason? He wants to process an order online, but because he has a PO Box with us he has to actually do it on the phone so we can alter the address and ship fedex. BUT he doesn't want to do the mail in rebate.

So he has been calling for two days. Yes, two days to get us to waive the mail in rebate.

Unfortunately for him, me or my coworkers didn't bring that particular magic wand. It's either a fifty dollar mail in rebate, or no phone. Can't make it instant no matte...

the company is costing me money

Our ability to activate new lines or do anything for that matter has been down since yesterday.I give people my card and tell them that all will be well soon,but i know they will just go down the road and activate somewhere else. This is costing me money and doesnt change my quota,and there is no recourse. Wouldnt it be good if we got paid on could have,should haves but the system was unwilling.This is rare but it still bugs me.Does any company out there compensate sales people for computer outages.

i work in a store that used to be busy but after the merger just kinda died because there is another store right across the street. and now i am going to a store about 30 miles that away that is way higher volume im stoked.

WHAT?!?!

Ok, guy just called in, he is in a Sprint Store right now wanting $150 off a new phone WITHOUT a new agreement!! Swears he's been with us for 10 years (try 6, acct was opened in 2000) and that we've done it for him before, and that if we don't now, he'll walk across the parking lot to Cingy and get a new phone there cuz they're requiring a contract. So...in this guy's mind, we should "reward" him for being with us for 6 years by giving him the discount WITHOUT a contract, otherwise he's going to go somewhere else and sign a contract?!? I DON'T GET IT!!! Can someone please explain to me what is going on in this guy's mind?!? Why would he go somewhere else, when he's obviously happy with our service, and give a company he doesn't know his...
