And it's our fault because...

Had a hysterical lady in here just now. She sent her daughter in to make a payment in our APC machine. The check was written for $125, the daughter didn't choose the 'pay different amount' option and paid the whole bill of $200+. So the lady came in here hysterical because now it's going to bounce when it hits her bank account. And she wanted us to reverse it and said that if she made the check out for $125 how could it have been processed for more. And yes, her daughter made the payment, we didn't take it at the register. And she started crying while I continually pointed out that we didn't take the payment, her daughter pressed the wrong option.
I felt a tiny bit bad except that she kept blaming us over and over again.
Sorry, dumbass.

Another dumb question (BEST ONE SO FAR!)

I'm going to make this short but sweet...

So, as all or you know one must have 2 forms of ID in order to get a new phone...with that being said here comes the greatest dumb question of all time... (in my opinion)

"could I use my sim card as a form of identification?" 🤣

We are soooooooooooo slow tonight, how about you guys. I havent had a call in 30 min, wich is rare in a cust service call center. lalalallalalalal im board lalalalalallalala so anyone still around or am i the only one here talking to myself.

Me:"...so Mrs. Blahblah the reason your bill is so high is because you are on an old plan that doesn't include free roaming. Remeber? I told you about our nation wide plans a few days ago?"

Custy:"Oh!? So when I went to New York it wasn't free?"

Me:"No ma'm your plan only covers California, Nevada and Washington. So if you travel to any other state it will cost .79 per minute."

Custy:"Oh!? Even when I go to Alaska?"

Me:"yes mam"

So very annoying,,

When people by their cool cell phone off of a generic web site and want our store to tend to their needs and wants. The way I see it is you get what you pay for. In the store you might have to pay extra but you also get the customer service! When you buy from a website like "wirefly" you risk getting a "refurbie"!!!!!!! AHHHH I'm so upset I'm almost at my quota and a young lady just came into my store who activated 3 lines on wire fly! Ahhhhhhhh .. Why???

Quotas

I wondering how or if quotas vary from carrier to carrier, and if they vary from area to area. Like what's a Sprint Store's quota in, let's say North Dakota, and does it vary from one in New York City.

I'm just curious about how high quotas are set and what the difficulty level in hitting them are.

corp vs. agent

So I work for an agent, and there is a Cingular corporate store directly across the street from the mall where my store is. In the last 3 weeks I have had customers come in saying that the corporate store told them we sell refurbished phones (not true). One instance I remember is a customer that bought a RAZR from us and had issues with it. She went to corporate store and they told her that it was a european phone and it was refurbished so they couldnt do a warranty exchange. Needless to say she came into our store and raised hell. I called XBM and they did it without question. Any of you corporate peeps out there, let me know if there is any truth to that or if the custys are blowin smoke up my @$$

Throwing it into the river

Our building sits just a little way back from the river.

There is this gods all damned stuffed monkey that sits on my supervisor's desk. If you squeeze it's tummy it makes loud, high pitched shrieking monkey-sounds.

If one more person squeezes the little turd I'm throwing it over the edge into the river!

Whats so hard to understand

about take it back to where you got it? If you didn't buy your phone or accessory from me don't try to return it to me. I would say i get at least one customer every day to two days that comes in with equipment purchased somewhere else wanting me to take it back, exchange it, or give them something for free for their purchasing it. And of course when i say i can't do anything for them they will have to go back to online or whoever else they chose to shop with they have the odacity to be angry with me! Is this just because i'm an indirect or does this happen accrossed the board?
