I hate snobby rich people

I hate irritating stupid rich white people. I got here 20 minutes before the mall opened and before I could even clock in these people pissed me off. The lady, in as snotty a voice as possible, said to her husband "God, they don't even have a Halmark here!" and then looked at me and asked if there was a Halmark in the mall. I pointed out The Card Shoppe, which is two feet away from us and was directly in her line of sight. I explained that it's the exact same thing and they carry all the same stuff. She just walked away without thanking me for information or anything and continued bitching about the lack of a Halmark in the mall. You're looking for f*cking cards, people. It doesn't matter if it's Halmark or not!

Then they came back...

I don't want to talk to you!

God I just had this customer in here waiting for a phone book swap and she kept asking me more and more questions. She asked me if she could lock texts on her phone (I referred her to her phone manual) then she asked about a new line she added, saying she never actually wanted it (referred her to customer care), then she asked me when each of her 5 lines would be eligible for upgrades (looked it up for her)...I mean, goddamn! She kept going on and on! I wanted to shoot myself!!!!!!!!

PDAs only as phones?!?!?!?

Why is someone going to go and buy a PDA/SMARTPHONE for over $200 when "i just want to make/rcv calls" Do you just want to look cool carrying it making people think you are a big important business person? I get tired of seeing someone w/ a TREO or Motorola Q saying can you remove the data feature? Blackberry got smart and you can only activate those w/the unlimited PDA feature.

Also, VZW has the advanced device credit: Customer has to be on a price plan of $39.99/higher and have unl pda feat ($44.99) to get an additional $100 instant credit of the PDA. What if a customer calls in later to remove it, will they be able to?

"Waste of my time and money"

Have s customer in store right now with my coworker. He is asking about phone pricing to add on a share line to his account. We told him we currently have 3 camera phones on special which are all free after $50 mail in rebate with a 2 yr agreement. He immediately says "I dont want a camera phone, they are a waste of my time and money." So instead he's looking at our non-camera phones which are currently starting at $50 each.

How is free wasting your time and money?

Sheesh....sometimes the brilliance of our customers amaze me. ๐Ÿ™„

Intimidating small children makes me feel cool

There's a stupid family of people at the Qwest kiosk near us that isn't bothering to watch their children as they set up whatever service they're getting over there. The daughter, maybe 7 or 8 years old, is pushing the son, who is 5 or 6, around in a stroller. The fun part is, rather than pushing him around she continually rams the stroller into the front of our kiosk while her parents watch and say nothing.

The last time she did it I just gave her a death glare for about 30 seconds while she looked terrified and stopped moving. Now every time they come near the kiosk if I even look at her she stops, looks frightened, and turns around. It's pretty sweet.

Speaking of stupid parents...

A 30-something year old lady just said "We're gonna go somewhere funner" to her small child. Yeah, way to speak English genius.

Do you use the company that you work for?

Are there any CSR's that actually use the service that they work for? I surely don't.

I'm not a tech but ok...

So I went to the dealership where I got my car because it was due for it's 15000 mile inspection (and the windshield washer fluid had frozen in the tubes... the whole saga actually took two trips and approximately 6-7 hours to get resolved... I usually like watching Animal Planet but after that I'm a little tired of it.) but there was an elderly woman who walked in and sat down in the waiting area while I was watching "Growing up Hyena" and was fussing because "they turned off my phone." I had earlier been talking to another gentleman who had asked me about my SDA, which I was busy using the wi-fi con that they have at the dealership (at least they have a nice waiting room... coffee and cocoa, cookies, free wi-fi, satellite TV, nice chairs ...

so far...and it's a saturday...

I should be selling tons of phones. It's a saturday and the holiday season. Here's how my day has gone so far.

1st customer:
Needed a battery for the cordless phone they bought at WalMart 5 years ago. Sorry. I don't sell that crap

2nd customer:
Yelled at me for about 10 minutes before I told him to leave. He wanted 2 phones (of course he wanted them completely free) and he wanted to have a $15.00 per month plan with the second line added for $25.00. When I told him it couldn't be done, he called me a liar. His dad has ancient prepay (that costs $15.00 per month...at least) and he see the commercials that say "add a line for $9.99" but he doesn't realize the stipulations or realize that the old prepay isn't sold anymore an...

Why can't people speak up??

My co-worker is upgrading a customer and they are speaking so softly that she has had to ask them three times for some information or if they would like to add anything to their service.

They spent some time whispering something to each other as she is ringing their ticket up.

When they came in she greeted them right away and it took them 5 minutes to answer her.

What a freaking joke!!

Just tell us what we can do for you. We are not mind readers or have a crystal ball to guess what you want or are needing.

SPEAK UP DAMMIT!!!

Bluetooth is a TECHNOLOGY not a piece of equipment. If I get one more person asking me if the insurance covers their Bluetooth I'M GOING TO SCREAM! I say the samething, Bluetooth is a technology built into equipment. Are you talking about the technology or are u asking if ur wireless earpiece is covered?

Shut your mouth, you little punk!

Hey, guys and gals. First-time poster, long-time reader. This forum has gotten me through many days in this crazy industry of ours.

I just had to register to post this story that happened at my SWAS location. Unbelievable!

So this older fellow, a frequent visitant, has been having problems with his battery (don't they all?) on his Samsung A870. He purchased it on November 6. As you can see, this is well beyond our company's 15-day window to exchange the phone for a different one, so he would have to troubleshoot his existing phone with a technician in one of our larger stores (we're a corporate, but a kiosk, and we don't have room for techs).

At this point things turned ugly. My fellow sales rep (a girl) and my supervisor ...

All glass surfaces in stores should be electrified or covered in deadly and painful poison

I just had a couple of non-customers (one of those "How are you doing today?" "I'm just looking" couples) walk around my kiosk for a few minutes. The guy was holding his 2 or 3 year old son, while the lady was holding the hand of their 5 or 6 year old daughter who was walking with them. Every case they looked at (4 out of the 5 we have), they stopped long enough for the dirty and retarded looking son to rub his grimy hands all over the top glass surface. In the meantime, the daughter had her mouth pressed to the front glass surface drooling. I hate people with children.
