I had a woman come in wanting to upgrade a phone in her son's name. She spat out the last four of his social and said she was on the account as an authorized contact. I pull up the account and there are NO contacts listed. I even went so far as to call CS to see if she was added before our recent system upgrades. NO. There are no contacts on the account.

I explain that her son will have to come in for the upgrade and she explodes on me. Apparently, her son is mentally challenged. She admitted that she ruined her own credit so she put the house bills in his name then got a cell phone in his name after she established his credit. She kept saying "I use the phone and I pay the bill, so you have to do this" to which I kept replying ...

I had this complete dirtball come in and set 5 coupons on the counter. He wanted a free iphone. The first funny thing is...I'M A VZW AGENT AND NOTHING IN OR AROUND MY STORE SAYS AT&T or Cingular!!! The one coupon was obviously printed off of the computer and said you could get a free iphone with the coupon and a 2 year contract.

I laughed. He had 3 lines eligible to upgrade. He thought he could get 3 free iphones on VZW with his made up coupon.

I showed him what offers we had going on and he didn't like it. He insisted that I give him 3 enV phones free with no rebates. I laughed again. He then wanted to combine NE2 with a 1/2 off coupon and on to of that, a different BOGO deal than what we're offering. Again...I laughed. ...

What is the percentage of the stupid and arrogant call do you get. Are most of your calls from decent customers with legit issues? How hard are the legit issue to fix?

I had this cust come in last week. He wanted to know when he was elig for new equip.

M: What is your phone number sir?
C: I'm not telling you that, I don't want to give it out.
M: Sir, I have to have your phone number to pull up your account.
C: Is there no other way to look it up.
M: I can look it up by your account number or your social security number.

I mean really, that guy made some great stories. I wish I could've read the original two stories, but supposedly they were erased from the Cingular threads. Kinda sux there won't be any more Bob stories.

This guy came in 2 weeks ago complaining about battery life on his phone. I did a basic check and his battery was swollen. I checked his account and he's eligible to upgrade.

I explained that a battery would be $39.99 or a new phone with the same features would be $50.00 BUT he would get a $50 rebate...so free after rebate...hence cheaper than the battery.

He refused to sign a new contract so he bought the battery. Now he's back complaining that at his cabin in the woods, he has to charge his phone every night. I tried explaining that low reception can make the phone work harder and drain the battery faster. He claims that it never happened like that before. I have to admit that what Sprint is doing is very ballsy. It makes sense as a business though. The people they are cancelling AVERAGE 25+ calls to Care a month. Chances are these are people who are extremely difficult customers, and are clearly not proving to be financially worth keeping to a business. I'm just worried I'll have to deal with them if they switch to VZW 👀 Sprint should provide the other carriers with a list of names, so that we can just cancel their accounts with us, too. 😁

but its dead and i need help today. my customer bought a CDM8940 (POS i know) but she had the software updated so that she is able to put mp3s on her phone. she downloaded a bunch of mps to put as ringtones but she said that they arent showing up. shes not here for me to look at the phone and play with it but any one have any idea where else i could tell her to look?

Today, our boss decided to implement WorkSecure to cut down on problems with the computers in the store apparently caused by "employee web browsing", (more like inadequate security on the computers themselves)

Lets take a look at the day so far.

1. Prepaid is down. We can't access the system we use to add time to prepay accounts. Much less any other websites we need.

2. We now have a "list" of approved websites. Thank god phonescoop is on that list, but still, we're missing everything else.

3. If you click a link off of phonescoop or another site, your window automatically gets closed if it's not on the list of approved sights.

4. Shortcut keys for Work Wireless don't work, neither does alt-tab, We also don't have a start m...

Can someone explain whats so special about the upcoming 700 mhz auction? I know they are trying to have open access to the frequency does that mean if you have a device with that frequency that isn't activated with a carrier it will still be able to access that frequency?

I have a question for anyone employed by iPCS (sprint).

Basically I am trying to figure out if I got this job. The company sent me a packet to go get a drug screen but does that mean I have the job, because I was under the impression that there were other candidates.

Any help would be great.
