I'm probably barking up the wrong tree.....

Does anyone know where a retailer can get replacement backs (battery covers) for phones?

Kyocera used to charge $25 for one, and I don't even want to call Motorola.

Any thing would be helpful.

(Particularly need a slvr (L7c))

Too funny!

Customer came in this morning to purchase a car charger for his Sammy a870. I was busy with some other customers, so he wandered over to the accessory wall, picked the charger and came and waited in line to check out. When he came up to the counter he handed me the charger, and turned his phone to me to ask if he had grabbed the correct charger. As he turned his phone towards me, it began to ring. Now, I'm not sure how this guy reacts every other time his phone rings, but it ringing startled him. He literally threw the phone up in the air, did the lil smackin around with both hands, kind of like the hot potato dance, and then it smashed onto our ceramic tile floor. 🤣 🤣 It probably fell from approx. 4.5-5ft. Really nice scrat...

Well I never!

Just had a customer who escalated because her service was FINALLY suspended after she has only ever paid about 60% of her total balance so she has always had this past due balance lurking over her head. I told her she needed to pay the balance IN FULL every month in order to keep her service active...her huffy little response?

"Well! I never!..."

Thats right lady! YOU NEVER paid your bill in full or on time. Thats why your sh!t was cut off! Stupid... Who on earth would think they can get by with not paying their full bill. And it was always like $40 that was past due that kept building up. HELLO! Just pay it!

The ones that make it worth my time. (not my normal diatribe)

I spend the day being yelled at, cursed at, and generally abused.

I want to scream, cry, smack people, and hang up.

I repeat my mantra "This is paying for my school so I can get a job that isn't in the hell hole and support the children I want to have."

And every once in a while there is a call that makes everything worth it.

She was frustrated, she'd had a hard time already getting things set up. She had memory problems and needed an easy number to remember. She'd had a bad interaction with a care agent who treated her poorly and hung up on her and by some fluke she got to my department (I think calling to send the phones back and wash her hands of us.)

I got the whole story, every number involved and every issue and then w...

I'm Good for nothing :(

Apparently because I can't accept cash payments for bills here I am "Good For Nothing". I personally think I am good for plenty of things. One of which is paying your bill with a credit or debit card. Who in the year 2007 doesn't use a debit card? They come free with your checking account? This is just the ramblings of a "Good For Nothing" though, so pay them no head. Unless of course you are good for nothing too. 🙄

Sir, I have the flyer on my screen in front of my face.

Let me read it to you, because you just gave me the promo code, I have the EXACT flier you are holding in your hand on the screen in front of me.

It says "With a new activation on a qualifying rate plan." That is exactly what it says.

That means it is not if you renew your line, you have to activate a new one.

No, renewing and activating are not the same, I'm sorry you are confused.

I offered to get you a translator, the fact that you are not understanding a word I say is your fault, not mine... you refused the translator.

Go bother Care.

Blackjack Windows Mobile 6

Hi guys,

I have a Blackjack and was just about to upgrade to WM 6.0 via the leaked ROM available online, when it was revealed that the official ROM will be available September 17. Should I wait for the official one? If I upgrade via leaked ROM, will I be able to upgrade again tot the official one when it comes out?

Any thoughts?

Arr

So, the other day a guy came by my kiosk and said he wanted a Razr and an LG275 on a 900 National with a bunch of add ons. The worst ones always seem so innocent in the begining.

Oh, and he wants to port his numbers from Ntelos. No biggie, but wait "its in use by another subscription." What? "Oh well I went to *insert other alltel indirect agent* to get new phones but I didn't like their phones and cancelled the plan."

"Is your Ntelos plan cancelled?"
"No."
"Go cancel it."

So, becuase the number is in the Alltel system it cannot be used in a new activation, hence not ported either. Throw in the fact that Ntelos refuses to process Port requests that have two ormore numbers in them, and that it was a holiday weekend later. I spent...

Please, can't I just hang up?

I really really want to hang up on this guy.

He's driving me insane.

He does NOT under understand the technology.

Not even a little.

He thinks that when his phone goes into energy conservation mode that it is turning off. He is convinced the phone is not charging.

I have told him 8 times (at least) that I am not tech support. I can not trouble shoot his phone. However I am pretty certain that there isn't a single thing wrong with the phone. It's just saving power.

He won't stop asking the same questions. I cannot tell him that I don't know any more, I will scream and hang up.

Checks

I am so tired of people coming in to pay their bill and you pull their account up, tell them what they owe, they had you a check and its BLANK with a signature. I am not filling out a check for anyone anymore!!! I got a hand cramp for the first 50 I did.

Why do customers do this?? I dont understand it at all, Im not a bank teller, im not filling out your paperwork for you. If I have one more blank check handed to me I am going to scream.

It has been a horrible STUPID PEOPLE COME SEE ME AT AT&T TODAY and im ready to run and hide in the inventory room and not come out until 5pm

I'm bored...

of talking to these mean people. Some lady told me my children probably looked like monkeys... I dont have kids and if the children i see running around are any indication of what my kids MIGHT be like i probably wont have any.

After i talked to that lady, i had a very "pleasant" gentleman who told me in a not so very pleasant tone that if his service was shut of he was going get 4 of his biggest friends together and have them come and gang rape me. I told him not to threaten me with a good time...so maybe I'll end up with a baby after all!

Does Labor Day make all the weirdies call in because this isnt really a common thing for me to hear. Mostly people just yell about how they hate me, none ever threaten physical violence...

I. HATE. MY. JOB.

I really really really hate my job today.

All the "Customers" that keep coming in just want to complain about Cingular/AT&T. They don't even have valid complaints!

"I'm so sick of Sing-luhr!" (that's how they say it, Sing-luhr)

"why, ma'am?"

"because my @$$ is huge and I deserve a discount!"

i sware some of the complaints sound like that.

i actually had a lady who called and wanted me to to come to her house to fix her cellphone because she was overweight, and she decided that that was a disability and that we should give her a disability discount and WE should come service HER because "the customer is always right" OH. MY. GOD.

i laughed at her, and asked her if she was serious. I thought it might have been a prank call...

"I'll have your job for this!" (kinda long)

I just an escalation convo go like this:

M: Thank you for holding, my name is SLRMcLaren and I am a floor supervisor. How can I assist you today?

C: I need someone who can help me immediately.

M: Ma'am I'd be happy to help you but from what I understand you were unable to verify either the Master password or using password on this billing account so unfortunately the information I can provide you with is very limited.

C: Then tell me if you can do this because i know you can (so why is she asking me then?). I need to move a SIM card from one line of service to another.

M: I apologize ma'am but once a SIM card is attached to a phone number it cannot be re-assigned unless the number is changed; in which case, the SIM card goes...

Wow

This lady just called asking how to order V3xx online with the back to school special price (it isn't even on sale). I said I have no idea but I have one here if you would like to come down and support your local econamy instead of shopping online and she said YES. I didn't even tell her it would be fifty dollars less than online! There are still decent people in the world. I can go home soon and get drunk on a happy note 🙂

Confused Customers

This guy calls in about a credit we were giving him.

C: Umm yea I was supposed to get a credit from you guys on my next months bill.

M: Ok let me review your account and check the status of your credit.

C: Well I noticed you guys applied it to my current bill instead of the next one.

M: Ok I do see that. Well then yea it looks like you have received your credit.

C: Yea but it was supposed to be on next months bill. So since you guys made a mistake and put it on the wrong bill you can just apply the credit towards next months bill also.

M: So you are expecting to get credit twice for something you only paid for once and didnt even really deserve in the first place?

C: Well you guys made the mistake not me. I asked for i...

LG8350 + Other new verizon phones...

Anyone else recieve the dummy for the 8350? Or better yet a working model?

I just got my dummy phone, and to be quite honest... I'm kinda pissed. The thing just seems cheaply made and I can't help but feel that I'm gonna break the thing just by picking it up. Definatley does not seem like a suitible replacement for the sturdy old 8300...

There's a pile of new samsung's coming out though... Haven't had time to phonescoop all of them yet. Anyone got opinions on any of those coming out?

The new coupe apparently is made by audiovox, which is a company known the world over for thier quality merchandise... right. I'm gonna miss the u540.
