Just got my first

"I have an upgrade but am saving it for the iPhone 5 but really need a new phone since my old one broke" chat since before October. Is it that time already?

Cool story, bro.

Mom and daughter walk into my store. They're looking for a replacement device for daughter until she's eligible to upgrade in August. She wants a slider with a touchscreen, and is eying the prepaids. I ask mom if any of the lines on her account are eligible for upgrade. None are.

I hear that all the time only to find out when I look up the account that there is at least one that is indeed eligible, so I nicely ask mom if she would mind me taking a look at her account to "analyze her rate plan and to ensure she's not overpaying for her service." She permits me to, and sure enough, zero upgrades available until August.

We begin to talk about the LG Neon for her daughter, seeing as it's the only slider phone we sell within her price ran...

When you come on the line and waste time complaining about how long you had to hold on the line before I answered, guess what?
YOU ARE ADDING ON TO THAT WAIT TIME FOR SOMEONE ELSE!!! So shut up!! You complaining about something noone has any real control over. Just get to the real issue, let me deal with it, you hang up, and I can take the next call.... the less complaining you do the quicker we can clear out these calls to where there won't be any wait..

No, just because you think you're hot ish doesn't mean you get to keep your rollover minutes when you change your rate plan. You have never used them anyway. ๐Ÿ˜ก

Today

Scene: Customer has a prepaid phone that her daughter put in the toilet. She says it is a work phone and she will be fired if she does not get a replacement. Customer has no money to purchase a new prepaid phone.

Customer: "So there is nothing you can do to help?"

Me: "Mam, we have prepaid phones that you can purchase and your balance and number will transfer over."

Customer: "But I have no money! why did [other store] tell me that they would replace it??"

Me: "Mam, Im not sure but if they told you that then maybe you should go back to that store."

Customer: "But I have no gas in my car! Why cant you just GIVE me a phone??"

Me: "Mam, all of out phones have to be rang through our register system or they will come up as missi...

wow...

How is that, after dealing with people all day long for the last 5 years, who aren't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed; how is that I am still surprised when my phone rings and it's a complete dumb@$$ on the line?
You'd think I'd expect it by now. I think it's the fact that I still expect them to be somewhat intelligent that irritates me the most, I should know better... I must be the most optimistic in the world to keep expecting it.

IRTs are USELESS?!

all departments have bad apples but recently, cust care transfers are really getting on my nerves as well as EVERY sales agent i speak with. i know we also have our faults but almost 8 out of 10 transfer are mostly invalid. do you get audits or quality coachings?! i know you need to maintain your AHT,and it's a hard time to keep your jobs.cust do lie, but some care reps are stupid enough to put notes on the acc that one cant say that the ridiculous claim from the cust came from care! ONLINE SAVINGS FOR NEW LINES ONLY, why offer that on UPG!!! do you even understand "NEW"?. and im ranting because my team got a FULL day call monitoring for a WEEK now just to prove this point and more than half of the thrash calls we got are these cold transfer...
