hey guys i was wanting to know if you could help me. i view and chat on this site with a pda. i can usually view large topics not an issue. however because of the world of warcraft thread i cannot chat on other threads unless they are above this one because it is so large. is there any way it could be closed so people can read it but cant add anything else to it. thanks for your help. oh yeah i do think the closing of threads is an awesome change.

i have been on this web site for the past 2 months, and its been really helpful, ive learned alot from this website, and hopefully i have been able to help some people also...one suggestion i would make for the forum is making a carrier or manufacter section where people can go to to talk about certain carrier's or manufacters...that would be the only thing i would reccoment other wise i love this website

I see that you can now close threads. Do threads automatically become closed after a certain span of time as well? If not currently what would be the cons to setting this up? I personally get tired of necroposting threads from years ago and know that others do as well. I would think a pasted link to the thread would be sufficiant if the wanted to add to the old thread. Thanks.

Ever consider creating an Iridium forum? With the launch of their new constellation upcoming and some new rate plans it might be nice to have some discussions on their option. Or maybe just a Satellite Services forum?

While I am thankful that my thread in the Shop Talk forum was not deleted due to a complaint from a regular forum member who thinks he's a real mod, what was the point of deleting all the replys?

Some had to do with what I said while others were in the response to what cyberpsionic (or whatever his name is) said which is perfectly acceptable, IMO. Threads in all the forums tend to deviate from the main topic and yet they never get deleted, so what was to be accomplished from doing so from my topic?

And yeah, while this could have been handled through a PM I think it might better to let everyone in on the thought process from the REAL mods and why they feel they should have had to do this from the complaint of a childish forum member

I got this once yesterday and twice earlier but now it happens every time i click on a link. Everytime i use a link it takes me to a long link that looks like an add. I had to copy shortcuts and paste everything in my address bar to even get here. This is what the link is. It looks like an ad link.

Just wondering about this. There have been alot of requests for add-ons made and the generic response is "it's on the list of things to do."

Is there actually a list? And do yo have a timetable on anything?

this is gonna seem cheesy to some and probably time consuming but it was helpful for my father whose vision is getting worse. Is there a way to actually add the screen size of phones in addition to the pixels. for example the razr and krzr both show 176x220 pixels and my father being a noob got the krzr thinking the krzr has the same size as the razr. The phone came in a box and he did not think to open it till he got home. Is this a possibility?
